The first entry in the Shaw Brothers studio's epic, three-part screen adaptation of "Journey to the West," a 16th-century novel recounting the efforts of a Buddhist monk and his magical companions to travel to India and bring back Buddhist sutras.

This is the second of the Shaw Brothers productions of stories from the classic Chinese folk tale Journey to the West. This segment relates the story of Princess Iron Fan's efforts to kidnap Tripitaka and eat his flesh so that, along with her followers, she will gain immortality.

Cave of Silken Web is the third installment in Shaw Brothers series from the Chinese classic tale Journey to the West. The monk Tripitaka and his three protector/companions, Monkey, Pigsy, and Sandy are trapped in the Cave of the Seven Spiders (i.e. seven swimsuit-clad seductresses) who want to eat the monk's flesh to gain immortality.

Fourth in Shaw Brothers' highly successful film series based on the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West, this takes up where The Monkey Goes West, Princess Iron Fan, and The Cave of the Silken Web left off. The Monk, Monkey and Pigsy find themselves in the title realm, where women can only give birth to women...unless loved by a man.

Jenny Wu is a singer who charms the well-to-do Peter Chen, but his parents object to a union between their only son and a lowly cabaret singer. He ignores their advice and marries her anyway, and for a time, they find some manner of wedded bliss. But the years are not entirely kind. He works hard to make ends meet, but his health pays the price.
