In this Israeli satire, a well-known labor politician is forced to spend some time recuperating in a mountain village for reasons of health. He is outraged to discover that the people there take little interest in politics and have no knowledge of him and his importance. Undeterred, he sets out to transform the attitudes of the villagers and succeeds only too well. By the time he has left, political in-fighting is as much a local sport in the village as it is in Tel Aviv. (allmovie.com)

The story takes place during one weekend in Tel-Aviv, in three main spots that lead to Carmel Market. There are three protagonists : 1. Tarek , a Palestinian youth from Nablus. 2. Katz , an embittered old fellow. 3. Keren , a 17 years old girl , who grew up in a strictly religious family , left her home to become a secular youngster. The three "heroes" are loners, driven by their past and by their inner conviction.

Handsome and successful surgeon, Dr. Dan Adam sets out to refute a psychologist's thesis that "a man who recognizes his own self-worth will not kill or murder to solve his problems." Dr. Adam begins terrorizing the life of the psychologist.
