The Anti-Terrorist Cell of the Kerala Police is led by the vibrant and daring Baba Kalyani (Mohanlal). When an e-mail is received that an attempt would be made to assassinate a VIP visiting the state, Baba Kalyani and his team sets out on a hunt. Though the e-mail proves to be a hoax, the group gets a hunch that some terrorist activity is being planned in the State, and that a group of terrorists has moved to Kochi from Thiruvananthapuram. Baba Kalyani too moves to Kochi with his team.

Binoy (Ashokan), Nassar (Ganesh Kumar), Sudhir (Baiju) & Rajeev (Mahesh) are college-mates & friends who are always chasing girls, intimidating the students & causing trouble. When Binoy forcefully gets inside Anitha's (Saumya) umbrella on a rainy day to cross the road, it gets broadcast on TV. Anitha's fiancé Lalu (Saikumar) misconstrues the event & cancels their wedding. Angered at Binoy, Anitha sets out to wreck revenge on him, which was the start of a string of troubles for Binoy & friends.

Hotshot Architect & skirt chaser Prakash Menon (Jayaram) gets transferred to the Cochin branch of 'Builders India', from Trivandrum. This comes as a shock to Anu Pillai (Suchitra Krishnamoorthi), Chief Architect of that branch, because this meant that she had to move to Trivandrum. Not knowing who Anu is, Prakash sees her & likes her. To get close to her, Prakash's friend Mukundan (Jagathy Sreekumar), sets him up as a housecleaner, to look after Anu's apartment & her daughter, Chikku (Shamili).

High-court justice M.K. Menon (Thilakan) was a martinet who sentenced his own son, Marancheri Induchoodan (Mohanlal), for murder, for 6 years, although Induchoodan pleaded innocent. Returning back from jail, Induchoodan locks horns with enemies of his father - the Manappally family, who he believed framed him. In the ensuing tug of war, Manappally Pavithran (N.F. Varghese) frames M.K. Menon of killing his own illegitimate daughter Induleka (Kanaka). Induchoodan fights for his father's release.

S.P. Siddharth Mahadev (Suresh Gopi), assisted by C.I. Aravind (Krishnakumar), investigates the murder of a retired senior police officer Sathar (Rizabawa). He is later summoned by his former boss, Nambiar (Rajan P. Dev) to help find his missing daughter Meera Nambiar (Honey Rose). Nambiar also ends up killed soon after. Siddharth lands 2 suspects in Meera's case - an orphan Rahul Krishna (Bala) & an innkeeper Sankaranarayanan (Murali), but they give totally opposite accounts of what happened.

Jagannathan (Mohanlal), friend of a rich businessman Nandakumar (Saikumar), buys Kanimangalam Kovilakam, a disputed ancestral home currently occupied by a girl, Unnimaya (Manju Warrier) & her surrogate father Krishna Varma (Oduvil). He starts off scaring them, but soon turns benevolent, protecting the people of Kanimangalam from the evil patriarch of the Kolappulli family, Kolappulli Appan (Narendra Prasad) & deciding to restart the defunct festival at the Kanimangalam temple, angering Appan.

Jnanashekhara Varma (Murali), a top cop, gets murdered after an anti-corruption tirade against the Revenue department of the ministry. Chandrashekharan IPS (Suresh Gopi), who has the nickname "The Tiger", gets handed the case. Soon after, Suhara Ahammed (Gopika), a TV journalist who was investigating Revenue minister Varkichan Narimattom (Rajan P. Dev), & her cameraman Kishore (Vineeth Kumar), goes missing. Chandrashekharan, suspecting a link between the disappearance & the murder, investigates.

Unnikrishnan (Dileep), an orphan & someone convicted as a juvenile, saves Qasim Baba's (Lal) life from a group of killers. Unnikrishnan assumes the name of Salaam as per advice from Baba & joins Baba's forces. Suleiman (Shammi Thilakan), Baba's nephew, murders Baba & puts the blame on Salaam & he gets sentenced to life. In jail, he joins up with 3 of his old pals from the juvenile home & plans to get back at Suleiman. Soon, Baba's old right-hand men also learns of Salaam's innocence & joins him.

Lal Krishna Viradiyar (Suresh Gopi), a lawyer who dispenses his own sense of justice by proving criminals to be innocent in court & later killing them secretly, takes up the case for 9 female medical students accused of murdering & dismembering a freshman student, Chinthamani Warrier (Bhavana), with the intention of freeing them & exacting his revenge later. But as the case advances, Lal Krishna learns that the accused are actually innocent & someone else is responsible for Chinthamani's death.

Anwar Ali aka Alibhai (Mohanlal) rules the Calicut Palayam market as their protector & leader. Two enemies from his past team up to destroy him & the market - Sundaran Thampi (Siddique), the son of his father's rival Karunakaran Thampi (Rajan P. Dev), whose right hand Ali had chopped off as a kid & Daniel Abraham, son of Ambubhai (Saikumar), a rowdy, whom Ali had beaten in the market & bedridden when he was a youth.

The belligerent & irascible Police Commissioner Bharathchandran I.P.S (Suresh Gopi) gets handed over the case to investigate the murder of Justice Mahendran (Karamana), who was heading an inquiry commission into the riots which happened in Poonthura, Kerala. The investigation pits him against his prime suspect, kingmaker Mohan Thomas (Ratheesh) & his coterie, Intelligence I.G. Rajan Felix (Rajan P. Dev), A.I.G. Menon (N.F. Varghese) & contract killer Wilfred Vincent Bastin (Bheeman Raghu).

Oyyarath Magaranth Ramanathan aka OMR (Mohanlal), a Singapore based magnate, sponsors a 9-member all-girl band called 'Red Chillies' who also doubled up as RJs at his Cochin based FM station. The girls are blamed for the death of a guy named Ricky (Byon), found dead in their house, & for the hit & run death of 10 people, which included communist leader Maani Varghese (Thilakan). While the public & police blamed OMR for Maani's death, OMR comes to Kerala to find the truth & vindicate himself.

Pulikkattil Charlie (Mohanlal), quarry owner & local bigwig, has spent his whole life making redresses for the evils his cruel & abusive father Pulikkattil Mathan (Ramaraj) had done, including marrying Maya (Meena), whom Mathan orphaned & raising Mathan's illicit child Katrina (Nayantara). Now Charlie must face his biggest threat yet - his father's killer Karnan (Ranjith), whom also Mathan had orphaned, is getting out of jail & has vowed to kill the last male of the Pulikkattil family, Charlie.

Mohammed Sarkar IPS (Suresh Gopi) is appointed by the government to investigate the shooting death of Rahim Haji (Narendra Prasad), a prominent community leader & ex-MP. Knowing that it was Rahim Haji's rival Narendra Shetty who was probably behind the murder, Sarkar investigates, but finds it difficult to procure solid evidence against Shetty. After IPS aspirant Rishi Menon (Suresh Gopi) gets rejected in the IPS selection for color blindness, per advice from his girlfriend Megha (Renjini), he starts 'Private Eye', a private detective agency. As his first prestigious case, he investigates the murder of a woman, Jolly (Lizy), & the related disappearance of Roy (Mahesh), a medical student purported to be her lover, at the behest of MP Vishwanathan (Prathapachandran), whose son Arun (Baiju) was also one among the suspects.

Unnikannan Nair (Nedumudi Venu), Panchayath president of the remote village of Pokkanamkodu, after getting cornered on his failure to bring a vet to the village, by the opposition party of the Panchayath headed by Ulpalakshan (Pappu), asks his aide Kurup (Paravoor Bharathan) to get one. At Kurup's behest, Bhairavan (Innocent), a conman, comes to the village posing as vet 'Pasupathy'. Vishwanathan is saved from Reddy's goons by Reddy's arch rival, gangster Patel (Devan), & sheltered in a brothel he runs. There, Vishwanathan saves damsel in distress, Gauri (Annie), & they both go on the run. Murugan (Manoj K. Jayan), gangster & leader of the Kozhikode Palayam market, locks horns with his ex-mentor Ranganathan Swamy (Narendra Prasad) & businessmen Thattel Mani (C.I. Paul), Thattel Bobby (Saikumar) & Muhammad Hussain Haji (Rizabawa) after Murugan sides with bust businessman Moosa (Rajan P. Dev) in a land deal where Moosa was cheated out of his land by Haji. Swamy & company kill Moosa & play the hotheaded new city police commissioner Jayamohan (Biju Menon) against Murugan.

Vivekanandan, along with his friends Najeeb Kecheri (Sudheesh) & Keshavan (Anoop Chandran) try to get close to Devika.

Chandran Pillai (Jayaram) is a widower from a village in Kerala. Bhama (Meera Nandan), who is a teacher, wants to get married to Chandran Pillai & be a mother to his son, whom she likes a lot. Chandran travels to Madirasi to buy a brand new bike for his son.
