After a childhood friend (Robert Bailey Jr.) goes on a violent rampage at school, popular athlete Jake (Randy Wayne) reevaluates his life. By reaching out to a lonely outsider (Sean Michael), Jake risks losing everything that matters most to him, including a college scholarship and his friends.

Despite what he says, Adam is not "fine". The summer before freshman year should be a time full of possibilities, but Adam struggles with family tragedy, everyday teenage growing pains, and the very real threat of high school hazing.
