Charlie Brown tries is about to leave school for the holidays vacation with no homework, when at last moment he is given the task - to write an extensive book report on Tolstoi's 'War and Peace'.

A new girl comes to the neighbourhood school and Linus is smitten with her. Unfortunately, she develops the symptoms of leukemia and must go to the hospital for cancer treatment.
