Millionaire Lawrence Duane tours the West disguised as a chauffeur. On his trip, he meets and has a flirtation with Molly Henessey, the daughter of a gas station proprietor. After Larry travels on, Henessey strikes oil and moves his family to New York. With their newfound wealth, the Henesseys lease the Duane summer home, which Mrs. Henessey, who has social aspirations, plans to use as a base from which to force her way into society.
