Based on the novel by James Fenimore Cooper, "The Deerslayer," was filmed in Bulgaria and Czechoslovakia. The director condensed the plot and focused primarily on the conflict between members of the two Indian tribes. Set in 1740 America, the Delaware are fighting on the side of the English.
