Ravindran

Aravindan (Dileep) is an expert tailor of ladies' garments, who is slightly challenged mentally, and is called by everyone as 'Pottan' (dunce). Aravindan is happy in his small world. He is in love with Anitha (Kavya Madhavan), his childhood friend, whom he lovingly calls Unnimol. Though Anitha likes him and is very free and friendly with him, her love for him is of a different kind. She has a world of her own which includes friends, college-mates, her uncles and her lover Jeevan (Jishnu).

Tharashankar (K.P. Ummar) & his nephew Tharadas (Mammootty), gold smugglers, runs a racket with the support of the local fishers. Cops Rajesh (Captain Raju) & Prasad (Mohanlal) are after them. During an encounter, Tharashankar is killed by Rajesh, & in revenge, Tharashankar's son Chandru (Ravindran) & Chandru's chum Charlie (Lalu Alex) kills Rajesh. Mistaking Tharadas to be the reason for Rajesh's death, Rajesh's widow (& Tharadas's ex-lover) Thulasi (Seema) & Prasad vows to bring Tharadas down.

When Chandri (Urvashi), Sivan's (Mammootty) sister, gets pregnant outside of marriage & seeing Sivan's anger at this, Chandri names Sivan's best friend, Chellan (Gopi), as the father & hearing this Sivan kills Chellan. Resolute on revenge, Chellan's brother Bhadran (Mohanlal) sells Chandri off to a brothel & awaits Sivan's return from the jail. But after Sivan's return, when Bhadran is stabbed by a couple of his enemies, Sivan comes to Bhadran's rescue, in spite of Bhadran's enemity towards him.

Sarah Elizabeth (Roma), Sreedevi Swaminathan (Mariya Roy) & Pooja Krishna (Parvathi) are 3 girls from different backgrounds who become best friends at Lords Academy in Ooty. But their loyalty is tested when Sreedevi becomes unexpectedly pregnant from her boyfriend Sooraj (Sooraj). They decide to secretly do an abortion, but disastrous consequences ensue which change all of their lives forever.

In the patrician Mangalath family, the patriarch (Thilakan) rules over with an iron hand, with his daughter Bhargavi (K.P.A.C. Lalitha) & her family impatiently waiting for his death to lay their hands on the family wealth. Into this walks in Miranda (Shobana), the patriarch's estranged son's daughter, born & raised in Mumbai, after leaving her promiscuous mother & lecherous stepfather behind. Miranda finds a home at the Mangalath mansion, but her mother & stepfather follow suit to get her back.

Ananthan Pillai (Thilakan) & Achuthan Pillai (Thilakan) are identical twins with the former a cop & the latter a thief. Ananthan witnesses a murder committed by Basheer (Ravindran), the spoiled son of businessman Sulaiman (V.K. Sriraman), which Ananthan refuses to back down from testifying in court. Sulaiman gets Ananthan killed, but Ananthan's & Achuthan's families pretend that it was actually Achuthan who got killed, & Achuthan dons the guise of Ananthan, to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Chacko (Asif Ali) & Hari (Aju Varghese), two Bangalore-based ad professionals, get fed up with their boss Radhika (Sandra Thomas) & her tantrums, decide to take a break & head to Goa, where Chacko meets a foreigner, Rachel (Sabreen Baker). After coming back to Bangalore, they realize that Rachel's bag was left in their car by mistake. The bag contained cocaine & after some initial tries to get rid of the bag fails, they decide to sell it. Meanwhile, the bag's real owners were looking for them.

55-year old Michael (Prathap K. Pothan), who had been settled abroad for the past 30 years, comes to Kerala for a vacation & looks up his 4 highschool friends - Antony Gonsalves (Babu Antony), Madan Mohan (Manian Pillai Raju), K.C. Ravi (Ravindran), & T.R. Raman (Vijayaraghavan). Together, they decide to take a vacation to Cheruthoni, Idukki, where they grew up, to relive their youthful stoner days.

A clique of politicians, cops & the rich - MLA Venu (Ratheesh), minister (Prathapachandran) & rich liquor contractor Karunakaran (T.G. Ravi) - exploits the commoners of a town, including allowing a factory to pollute its waters & selling illicit liquor. Krishna Pillai (Balan K. Nair), an upright communist activist, who also happened to be Venu's uncle, protests the atrocities. He is joined by Salim (Mammootty), a Gulf-returnee, who returns to Kerala after losing his job in Dubai.

After influential eco-warrior Prof. Madhava Menon (Sukumaran) tries to expose the looting of forest resources by opposition leader K.R. Sreedharan (Ratheesh), he is shot & narrowly escapes death. Menon's followers recruit Colonel Varma (Jagathi), who runs a security firm, to protect Menon. Varma deploys 4 young men from his team - Sivashankaran (Vijayaraghavan), Punnoos (Baiju), Razak (Raju) & Mahendran (Keerikkadan Jose) - for this purpose, who later also identify with Menon's cause & join him.

A group of 7 ballet artists - Ravi (Mohanlal), Asokan (Ratheesh), Alex (Lalu Alex), Ravindran (Pradeep), Madhavan (T.G. Ravi), Geetha (Seema) & Rekha (Rani Padmini) - go to Hong Kong & Japan at the behest of Prasad (Captain Raju), thinking they were going there to perform, but were actually being used as carriers to smuggle diamonds. They return back unscathed, but having seen the entrepreneurship & hard work of the Japanese people, they try to implement reforms in their own state of Kerala.

Fish auctioneer Malik (Mammootty) is forced to give shelter to a Jewish British citizen, Michelle (Caroline Bech), after she is forced to leave her hotel, Hotel Casalinda. As Malik couldn't speak or understand a word of English & Michelle a word of Malayalam, Malik tries to learn English. After Malik realizes that he is being used by his politician friend Paulose Punnokkaaran (Sathar) & his ex-father-in-law (Ramu) to steal Michelle's ancestral property, Hotel Casalinda, he decides to help her.

Sleevachan is a farmer and the breadwinner of his family. After getting his sisters married, he decides to marry and accepts the first proposal that comes his way. As the wedding approaches, Sleevachan gets worried about how his married life will go as he lacks the ability to relate to women who are not his mother or sisters.
