Laura is a piano player who abandons her husband because she can't stand their spoiled relationship anymore. Because of this, she takes a job as a piaño composer for Marta, a "vedette". Laura moves then to Marta's chalet to start working. The people of the town will soon start gossiping about the nature of their relationship, but the two women will find on each other the comfort, company and love they were both looking for.

The strange disappearance of the dogs of his neighbors leads Juan to investigate the case on his own. It ends up finding out that the author of the robberies is a young woman called Eloísa, the cocky daughter of a scientist who uses dogs to create an antidote against sleep. Juan and Eloísa fall in love, but he will ask her to leave her luxurious mansion to live only with his salary.
