Prashanth

Sivaraman (Prashanth) & Kadhir (Pandiarajan), both on the streets in London & in need of money, take part in a bank heist with Bhaskar (Manivannan), his younger brother Natarajan Krishnamurthy (Mayilsamy) & girlfriend Aishwarya (Mumtaz). Bhaskar gets caught & in a bid to hide out & get some money to solve their problems, Sivaraman & Kadhir hideout in the house of an elderly blind couple as their long gone grandson Saravanan - except Kadhir pretends to be the body & Sivaraman the voice.

Rajamani (Nasser) and his twin sons, Vishu and Ramu (both played by Prashanth), live in America. When Vishu falls for the beautiful Madhumita (Aishwarya Rai), his father insists that his boys also marry twins. Madhumita's response is to pose as her imaginary twin, Vaishnavi. A famous character of Kerala folklore, Raman (Thilakan), respectfully called 'Perumthachan' (the master carpenter) was a master carpenter, sculptor & architect. Raman begets a son, Kannan (Prashanth), who later becomes more famous than him, decreasing Raman's importance & causing subtle feelings of animus & one-upmanship between them. When Kannan falls in love with Kunjikkavu (Monisha), daughter of Maambatta Unni (Nedumudi Venu), who was Raman's patron, Raman tries in vain to discourage Kannan.
