Police Commissioner Mohamed Maideen Khan (Napoleon) is on the task of cleaning up Chennai mafia, of which the two prominent & warring gangs are Alibhai's (Prakash Raj), of which Tamizh (Vijay), a goon who does anything for money, is a part of & Narasimhan's. Tamizh's lover Shruthi (Asin), an aerobics instructor, is accosted by corrupt cop Govindan (Mukesh Tiwari), who is on Alibhai's payroll, & asked to be his mistress failing which, he would defame her family. Tamizh sets out to protect her.

An aimless youth starts working for a drug baron and his mission is to kill his rival.

In Paris, cello student Kayalvizhi (Hansika Motwani) falls for billionaire playboy Kamal (Jeyam Ravi), who seemed to flit from girlfriend to girlfriend, but who ran away at the mention of "love" or "commitment". They become friends, but seeing that Kamal wasn't going to commit to anything serious between them, Kayalvizhi turns the tables on Kamal by pretending to have a lot of boyfriends & be frivolous about love. This starts to drive Kamal crazy & makes him realize that he loves Kayalvizhi.
