She stays with her cousin and her friend and the pair assume Helen is very naïve since she's unfamiliar with the big city. However, again and again, Helen shocks them as she seems perfectly suited for the big time...and by the time she arrives at their apartment, a studio boss boss has ALREADY asked Helen to marry him!

Hollywood hopefuls Virginia Brooks, Rita Flynn and Phyllis Crane finally get a break and cast.... but when Miss Brooks is rehearsing a love scene with her leading man, boyfriend George Chandler doesn't realize it and knocks him down. Later, the director forgives them, and Miss Brooks kisses him..... and Chandler, at the craft table, starts throwing pies.

Old Doc Clyde is a country physician trying to compete with a younger and more modern doctor, and is having a hard time keeping up. They are both candidates for the job of county physician at a regular salary. and the committee stages a contest to see which handles the most patients in a week. Clyde wins by one patient, that being the wife of his competitor, and he is there ahead of the husband to deliver quintuplets.
