Three segments based on stories in the Brazilian book of the same name.

Great-grandmother, grandmother, mother and daughter share a luxurious home that can no longer keep, and the proximity of the slum, also unable to sell or rent. Now the UPP occupied the favela, and potential buyers come to see the house. During the visit begins a shootout, leaving everyone trapped. Faced with the threat of life, little sins are revealed and take shape tragicomic situations involving visitors and residents of the slums and the asphalt.

Joana D'Arc, a former public school teacher in Rio de Janeiro, tries to recover her home, lost to the City Hall. The trajectory is shared by the pirate fisherman Pharaó, from Guanabara Bay.
