"Malarvadi Koottam" (Malarvadi guys) are a bunch of trouble makers in the village of Manassery, led by the irascible Prakashan (Nivin Pauly). In a moment of financial crisis, Kumaran (Nedumudi Venu), their mentor who formed Malarvadi club, makes the group take up music once again. On the way, the singer Santhosh (Shraavan) in the group gets a chance to attend a reality show & he emerges the winner. This is followed by misunderstandings, separation & a grand reunion in the end.

Circle Inspector Jacob Alexander (Sarath Kumar) is back in Kochi to bring to justice notorious gangster Paruthikkadan Shaji (Suresh Krishna), his archenemy. Shaji bumps off a key witness in his trial, which is recorded on video by a group of friends - Harikrishnan (Nivin Pauly), Suraj (Arun), Gopan (Byon), Usman (Bhagath Baby Manuel) & Sugathan (Suraaj Venjarammoodu) - who were out in the city for a good time. Shaji & his gang chases the youngsters around town, & they seek the Jacob's help.

Mimicry artist Charlie (Dileep) lands in Spain looking for a job & due to his culinary skills, ends up in the kitchen of rich diplomat Phillip De' Alve & gets close to his beautiful but blind daughter Camila (Daniela Zacherl). Camila, who was still mourning the death of her lover Rahul (Kunchako Boban), finds a friend in Charlie & seeing their intimacy, Phillip decides to get them married. An rapt Charlie goes to India to inform his mom, but while is he away, Phillip dies & Rahul shows up alive.

Vinod (Nivin Pauly), a Hindu boy, falls in love with Aisha (Isha Talwar), a girl from a conservative Muslim household & tries to win her love against all odds.

'Chapters' chronicles 4 distinct stories with interlocking connections. Chapter 1 has Krishna Kumar (Nivin Pauly) & his 3 friends try to raise cash for Krishna Kumar's sister's wedding by brokering the sale of a rare gem, but gets cheated out of the cash. Chapter 2 has Sethu (Sreenivasan), transporting money meant for his son's surgery. Chapter 3 has a group of friends helping a couple elope to marry & Chapter 4 has Sethu from chapter 2 revealing how he came across the cash for the surgery.

In a fishing community, a young girl named Thamara (Namitha Pramod) lives on her own at the shore & fishes for a living after the death of her father. She rescues an old man called K.P. (Nedumudi Venu) from a suicide attempt & she feels a father-like bond towards him. However the old man turns out to be not quite what he seemed & keeps changing his story causing for Thamara & her friends to go on a quest to find out K.P.'s real identity.

5 Sundarikal, a romantic anthology film, contains 5 short stories on love about five types of women - mother, daughter, lover, wife and actress. The featurette 'Sethulakshmi' is an adaptation of M. Mathew (Nivin Pauly) borrows money from loan shark Vatti Raja (Simhaa) for his sister's wedding, & after losing his job, is unable to pay it back. On his 3rd month of paying off the loan by borrowing from elsewhere, he finally runs out of options & faces a deadline from Raja to pay off the loan before 5 PM that day. The rest of the movie comprises of events leading upto Mathew's deadline as he struggles to raise money for Raja & hold onto it.

The lives of various Malayalis living in London intersect in various ways. Sarasu (Nadia Moidu), having spent years there with her doctor husband (Murali Menon) is homesick & wants to leave for good. Playboy Sibin (Nivin Pauly) is in love with his best friend's wife Gauri (Remya Nambeesan). Shankaran (Jayasurya), a Kathakali artist who works at a restaurant, keeps writing letters to his lady love back home. Luke John Prakash (Sekhar Menon) is an obese young man who has always been the object of ridicule since childhood. When his childhood sweetheart Ann Marie (Ann Augustine) returns to his life, he is smitten, but she dupes Luke into joining an Ayurveda weight-loss scam run by Rahul (Nivin Pauly), of which she too was a part of. When Luke learns the truth, he channels his anger by running for the Mayor of Kochi & wins. Later, Ann comes clean & provides testimony using which Luke takes down Rahul.

Siddharth (Indrajith), a creative executive at an advertising agency & his friend, dancer Veena (Ramya Nambeeshan), try to solve the mystery of their friend Icha (Nivin Pauly) who starts to appear before both of them at the same time. They seek the help of a friend, Sudheer Bose (Prathap Pothen), who researches on folklore & parapsychology.

Pooja Mathew (Nazriya Nazim), the tomboyish daughter of Dr. Mathew Devasya, while in school, takes a fancy to local farmer boy & her personal hero Giri (Nivin Pauly), who was omnipresent in their village affairs. However, her first advances result in heartache as Giri snubs her saying she was too young. Later, Giri leaves for China while Pooja goes to medical school. Facing off with him as a person of interest in the case was Krish Hebbar (Nivin Pauly), the driving force behind the software giant Infotec, where Roshini also works, & to complicate things, Roshini & Krish starts dating each other, to Varun's chagrin.
