Georgekutty (Mohanlal), a cable TV operator in the small mountainous village of Rajakkad, Idukki, spends his time watching every movie he can get his hands on & derives his world knowledge from them. He puts his ingenuity & knowledge to the test when his wife Rani (Meena) & daughter Anju (Ansiba) inadvertently commit a murder, as he covers up the crime & equips his family to weather the storm of a brutal police investigation.

Allen Mathew (Vipin Atley), a young man trying to catch a break in TV despite his unflattering looks, comes up with a unique concept for a TV show, which is stolen by his friend Sajith (Kailash) who works for the Christian TV channel, Grace TV. Finally, Allen decides to expose the corruption at Grace TV through a special New Year's eve episode.

Felix (Fahadh Faasil), an orphan raised by the local bigwig of the beach community of Mariyam Mukku, Mariyaan (Manoj K. Jayan), to be his right-hand man, goes soft after meeting Salomi (Sana Altaf), the new girl in the community. This anger Mariyaan, who tries to drive them apart. At this juncture, something Felix does in a drunken stupor is mistaken to be divine miracle by the town folks, which causes for the whole beach area to be flooded by devotees, causing for business to boom in the area.

Jeevan (Kunchacko Boban) & Salim(Biju Menon) are taxi drivers in Sharjah, who live in a house they share with Kumar (Neeraj Madhav). A Sri Lankan Tamil girl Thamara (Parvathy Ratheesh), on the run from the cops, enters their life & they are forced to accommodate her in their house. Soon Jeevan & Thamara fall in love, & Thamara gets pregnant. Stuck in a place like Sharjah, with strict rules regarding ID & immigration, they are forced to hide Thamara's pregnancy & childbirth.

Kunjiraman (Vineeth Sreenivasan), nephew of Well-done Vasu (Mamukkoya), plans to marry Vasu's daughter Thankamani (Rimi Tomy). His plan is foiled by his dim-witted cousin Lalu (Dhyan Sreenivasan). To avenge this, he goes to Gulf, makes money & returns to his hometown Desam to marry before Thankamani does. Kunjiraman gets engaged to other women but all end up in cancellations. Villagers superstitiously believe that it is Kunjiraman's actions that bring problems & curses to Desam.
