Jayakrishnan (Dilip) is a bodyguard who is very into what he does. When he saves Ashokans (Thyagarajan) life, Jayakrishnan now has the responsibility of protecting his daughter Ammu (Nayantara). However, Ammu doesn't like the fact that Jayakrishnan is too protective of her so she devises a plan to distract him. She makes him fall in love with a mystery woman. However, things get messy when Ammu realizes what her true feelings are.

Based on Madhavikutty's novel 'Manomi', with the Sri Lankan Civil War as the backdrop, Tamil poet & radical Thiruchelvam (Suresh Gopi), on the run from the cops, hides out at a house in the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border, where he meets Manomi (Mithra Kurian), a Sinhalese girl who tends to his wounds. Manomi falls in love with Thiruchelvam, but he spurns her love to continue his mission. Jayashankar (Jayaram), leading a content life with his sister & mother in a village, gets into trouble when he is accused of stealing money & has to leave for the city in search of his long-lost cousin Sethuraman. Pavi (Nishan) & his 4 friends lead a lazy life, much to the annoyance of their parents. Pavi dreams of becoming a director some day, while the rest of them play truant at their existing jobs. Serial alcoholic Chandrabose (Mohanlal) saves a young man, Sharath (Krish Sathar), from suicide, who was debarred from college because of Shivasankara Menon (Ganesh Kumar), businessman & owner of an IT firm. Chandrabose commits to changing Sharath's life & helps Sharath & his friends start an IT company. However, success gets into Sharath's head & makes him ungrateful. Meanwhile, Anu (Mamta Mohandas), Menon's daughter & who was part of Sharath's team, takes a fancy to Chandrabose.

A first-time movie director, Kishore Kumar (Maqbool Salmaan), gets conned into making a screenplay into a movie, which turns out to be the frame-by-frame copy of a Korean movie. Shortly after Kishore's movie becomes a success, the director of the Korean movie approaches him & demands 5 crores in payment within 15 days.
