Meccartin

The movie is about lawyer Sivaraman (Mohanlal), an alcoholic, who leaves his practice and hits the bottle after his family disapproves of his love. He receives an anonymous call on his cell phone from a damsel in distress who has been abducted by goons. He rescues the woman and learns that she is from a wealthy family and someone from that family wants to kill her for her wealth. The plot thickens, with suspected villains chasing the woman and the ensuing confusion, tension and action.

'Mayavi' is Mahi (Mammootty) who has a strange job; he owe up crimes committed by others and go to jail for them, for which he gets a lot of money. He can't stand injustice, but being a criminal himself, he cannot also rub other criminals the wrong way. So he retort to a unique way of roughing up the thugs-- he attack them in the dark or from behind; he finishes his work so fast that nobody would realize who did it, thus earning him the nickname 'Mayavi'. Unnikrishnan (Dileep), a jobless youth, who is heavily in debt, decides to commit suicide after taking an insurance policy which he figures would pay back his loans, after he dies. He jumps into the sea, but he reaches a distant place & gets caught in the fishing nets of Gangadharan (Cochin Haneefa). He thinks that Unni is deaf and mute and Gangadharan gives Unni and his own assistant Ramanan (Harisree Ashokan) as collateral to the 'Punjabi House', where he himself had taken a loan from.

Shathru (Dileep) is appointed as the new manager of K. D. & Co., the business enterprise headed by Kannan (Suresh Gopi) and Dasappan (Lal), the two brothers who rule over the market town of Thenkasi, with their bravery and unity. There Shathru runs across Devootty (Kavya Madhavan), their younger sister who was his classmate in college and whom he had a crush on. When Devootty tells Shathru that she couldn't be with him unless her brothers have families, he sets out to get her brothers hooked up.

Malavika (K.P.A.C. Lalitha) of the Kunnathu family has three sons - Sreedharan (Jagathi Sreekumar), Dineshan (Manian Pillai Raju) & Balachandran (Jayaram). The elder two have all girl children, which doesn't bode well with Malavika, who is obsessed with the idea of having a boy in the household. Balachandran falls in love & marries Ambika (Sudharani), but when they too get a girl child, Balachandran is forced to lie about this & pretend that his pal Pappan's (Biju Menon) boy child is his own.

Bhuvanachandran aka Bhuvan (Dileep), a broke real estate broker, is conned into buying a 30 acre land in Tamil Nadu, disputed by 2 warring local bigwigs - Pandidurai (Prakash Raj) & Karuppayya (Rajan P. Dev), both of whom sworn to kill anyone buying the land. Bhuvan & his partner Bhasi (Harisree Asokan), hatch a plan wherein Bhuvan would befriend Pandidurai to get closer to him. Bhuvan also gets drawn to Karuppayya's daughter Meena (Navya Nair), unaware that Pandidurai also has an eye on her.

Ashwathy (Suchitra) & Mary are co-workers at 'New India Chemicals', but hate each others' guts & are always fighting with each other at work. Aswathy & her husband Dr. Balakrishnan aka Balu (Siddique) move to a new rental home, only to find that their neighbor is Mary. Mary's husband Zakaria (Jagadish) turns out to be Balu's old pal. Zakaria & Balu decides to reconcile their wives' differences, but soon they are also drawn into the conflict, with disastrous results for both families.

Premachandran aka Preman (Jayaram), a BCom grad, takes up the job of a driver at the house of brothers Kuttan Bava (Narendra Prasad) & younger Kunjan Bava (Rajan P. Dev). When Kuttan's daughter Ammu (Kasturi) & Kunjan's daughter Malu (Sangeetha) makes amorous overtures towards the handsome & educated Preman, he responds to keep his job, but finally resulting in Kuttan & Kunjan fixing his marriage with their respective daughters, not aware of each other's plans, with Preman torn between them.

The singer-storyteller duo of 'Ganabhooshanam' Cochin Brothers, Girish Cochin (Jayaram) & Satish Cochin (Premkumar), gets tricked into going for performing at the village of Puthukkotta, where the families of Palathara & Madassery are feuding with each other, after Thampi (Captain Raju) of Madassery is jailed for killing his illicit son Ananthan (Krishna Kumar). After Girish & Satish declare that they are going to tell Thampi's tale, both families want Cochin Brothers to tell the tale their way.

After his family is destroyed by minister M.S.V. (Ramachandran V.), businessman Rajan Philip (Cochin Hanifa) & cop Jagannathan (Sphadikam George), & him framed & jailed for theft, law grad Hareendran turns into a master thief under the anonym of 'Superman'. After some initial spats, Deputy Police Commissioner Nithya (Shobana) befriends Hareendran & tries to get him out of the world of crime. When Nithya is framed for murder, Hareendran tries to vindicate her & bring M.S.V. & his pals to justice.

Manu Krishnan (Dileep), a male nurse, changes names & faiths like other people change their clothes, claiming no less than three monikers & two religions in his pursuit of love. Going from Manu to Manuel (when he converts to Christianity) to Subramanian (when he's posing as a Brahmin), the harried hero eventually finds himself at an Ayurvedic resort pursued by three women - Leena (Samvrutha Sunil), Priya (Vimala Raman) & Bhama (Sruthi Lakshmi) - all of whom think they're there to marry him.

When poor girl Maya (Manju Warrier) is selected to be adopted as the heiress to the Udayapuram Palace, Maya's family causes misunderstandings between Maya & her cousin/lover Appu (Jayaram) & carts her away to the palace. Appu follows suit & gets into the palace pretending to be the Maharaja Udaya Varma's long gone nephew Veerendran. Then, the real Veerendran (Biju Menon), a rowdy, shows up & demands Appu's help in stealing the royal crown of the palace, in return for helping Appu get Maya back.

Padmanabhan (Nedumudi Venu) & Devaki (K.P.A.C. Lalitha), gets back their long-lost son Unni (Dileep) after 17 years, but is saddened to find that he was mentally ill. Unni's childhood friend Ammu (Kavya Madhavan) nurses Unni & agrees to marry him, but the decision upsets Gopikuttan (Nishanth Sagar), Ammu's cousin who wanted to marry her. Meanwhile, an accident brings back Unni's memory, & he reveals that he is actually Vishnu, son of criminal Maheswaran Thampi (B. Thyagarajan), from Bangalore.

Chandrahasan (Kunchako Boban), who becomes a street vendor to support his bankrupt, but mentally ill father K.S.K. Nambiar (Balachandra Menon), meets street singer Vijayalakshmi (Aswathy) & her 2 blind brothers, Ajayan (Cochin Hanifa) & Vijayan (Harisree Asokan). Chandrahasan takes a fancy to Vijayalakshmi, but she turns out to be the long-lost daughter of king Indraraja Reddy (Nasser) of the Banjara Palace in Andra Pradesh & Chandrahasan promises Reddy to return Vijayalakshmi to him.

Jayakrishnan (Jayaram), a struggling lawyer, frees an institutionalized maniac, Harinarayanan (Lal), after being convinced that he was normal, but later learns that he was duped. In his bid to prove that Harinarayanan was abnormal after all, people started suspecting Jayakrishnan himself of being mad. Finally, having to take the financial responsibility of Harinarayanan's antics, Jayakrishnan & his family goes broke & he plays a game show in an attempt to get his life back with the prize money.

Bachelor businessman Narendranatha Kurup (Jayaram) gets tired of his tight schedules & gilded lifestyle & takes a break to the country where he befriends Velu Kurup's (Oduvil Unnikrishnan) family & falls in love with Velu's daughter Meera (Meena). Later they marry & Narendran makes the mistake of inviting his in-laws over to stay with him. His boisterous relatives soon get on his nerves, causing for him to kick them out, but Meera too leaves with them. Narendran follows suit to get Meera back.

Mathukutty (Mohanlal), Zacharia (Jayaram) & Binoy (Dileep) come to Goa to take over a casino from Gomez (Captain Raju), their fathers' pal. 25 years ago, Gomez was the only one who escaped an attack from local goon Gawda (Pradeep Singh Rawat), in which his pals were killed & Gomez was now showing his gratitude for his dead friends. Knowing their identities, Gawda vows to kill them, but after a night of binge boozing, Mathukutty, Zachariah & Binoy wake up to find that freaky things have happened.
