A young boy, Facifica is raised as a girl by his mother, Aling Kobay, who had been longing for a daughter. When Facifica's mother dies, his brothers tries to teach him combat skills and how to act like a "real man." Later, he meets Pilar, a movie star that Facifica idolizes. He falls in love with her and feels the need to protect her.

After Facifica straightens his sexual preference and becomes a man, he reverted to his old name Pacifico and becomes a doting husband to Pilar and a generous father to his three sons: Eric, Rolly, and Rodrigo. Unfortunately, after Pilar dies and leaves Pacifico a widow, this affected Rodrigo so much that later on he finds out he is more female in heart than his brothers. Rodrigo has come to terms with his homosexuality and tries to gain acceptance from his father.

Jimmy Santos took on the role of one of the country's most beloved comic characters. Bondying, whose name has come to mean somebody immature, childish or who never grew passed childhood.

The real Darna in the Darna, Kuno? storyline became pregnant. Because of the pregnancy someone had to take Darna's place temporarily as the superheroine until she had given birth.
