A social drama advanced for his time: a rape, a single mother, a suicide.

The drama recreates the myth of the generous bandit, in this case set in a village of Castile of the nineteenth century, recounting the oppression of the people by the local cacique, the rebellion and flight of Salvador and the amorous of the fugitive with the young Fuensanta.

In the celebrations of the recruits, Don Esteban rejects José Luis, the boyfriend of his daughter Luz María, who promises to kidnap her.
