    The Stranger Returns
Taking the identity of a dead postal inspector found on the trail, a stranger rides into a small western town and finds himself in the middle of a stagecoach robbery perpetrated by a gang of twenty ruthless desperados. Finding out the object of the heist was not a strongbox as it seemed but a solid gold stagecoach, he enlists the aid of a down-and-out old preacher and tracks down the dangerous gang and their unsuspected ally. A Stranger in Town
The Stranger (Anthony) arrives in town to witness a brutal massacre of Mexican soldiers by a gang of bandits led by Aguila (Frank Wolff). Before the execution, Aguila assures the soldiers that he is "a fair man" - a regularly uttered pronouncement throughout the film. The death of so many men demonstrates otherwise. The Stranger agrees to work with the bandits, who are now clad in the soldiers uniforms, to help steal gold from the US army.

1931: Once Upon a Time in New York
Any 1972 film starring Richard Conte was like as not produced in Italy. Despite its title, 1931: Once Upon a Time in New York is no exception to this rule. Conte and Adolfo Celi play rival Chicago gangsters, fighting tooth and tommy-gun over territorial rights. Featured in the cast are gravel-voiced Lionel Stander and easily excitable Irene Papas. All the actors involved have been better served elsewhere. (allrovi.com)

    Il mondo di notte
World by Night was one of many documentary features filmed during the 1960s in the night clubs of the world. A foyer card from the film depicts a Polynesian floor show at a night club somewhere. We could be in Honolulu, Hollywood, Tokyo or Hong Kong - the difficulty in determining the location is an indicator of the 'extra-national' dimensions of night club entertainment at the time...
