Joan Daley (Joan Davis), a New York booking/press agent, attempts to recruit two local stand-ins, Jinx Terry (Jinx Falkenburg) and Lois Morgan (Joan Woodbury), when the Cuban sister-act, Marianela (Marquita Madero) and Rosita (Carmen Morales), she as booked into the nightclub for which she works fails to materialize. Complications arrive when the real Cuban sisters show up.

Brad Adams is the new manager of a manufacturing plant in a small New Hampshire town. He is brought in by owner Mrs. Doubleday to calm labor relations plus layoff employees. Brad manages to also find romance.

Steve Mallory (Lloyd Bridges), a returning war hero, has an uncanny resemblance to Dan Redfern (Lloyd Bridges), and a Secret Service agent has him impersonate Redfern, who unknown to the counterfeiting gang has been killed, infiltrate the forgers, find out the name of the leader and put an end to their activities from within.

Morgan and his gang are smuggling furs across the border. Both the Mounties on the Canadian side and Tex Martin on the American side are after them. When Morgan sets up Tex to be found with furs, Mountie Bill arrests him. But he lets him go hoping he will lead him to the gang and eventually the two join forces.

El Brendel gets married and his troubles begin. In the Pullman car on his honeymoon, he gets into the wrong berth and has wife trouble; at the hotel, he gets into the wrong room and has husband trouble; then his wife's ex-husband arrives on the scene.

A posse, hunting the assailant of Denton's Partner, captures Steve Carlisle (Charles Starrett), who identifies himself as a mineralogist sent to check the area for quartz for radio parts. Calling at the Denton ranch, Steve hires Cannonball Mullins, who has just been fired by Jane Fielding, Denton's ward. Steve learns that she wants to sell the ranch to the Empire Syndicate. Paul Edwards (Lloyd Bridges), syndicate representative, plans to convert the ranch into a swank hotel-gambling operation.
