Disgusted with the fact that his village has been taken over by a major tourist project, a former café owner leaves to Athens. He wants to live a new life, but finds it difficult to take the misery of working for somebody else, and stubbornly hangs on to his petit-bourgeois attitude.

Late at night on a street in Athens, someone stabs a woman to death and disappears into the dark. Looking for a probable cause for the crime, the police focuses on the private life of the murdered woman. The eventual appearance of the killer seems to leave more questions unanswered: What exactly was his motive? What conditions a man to commit violence in order to affirm his masculinity? How do we hold accountable a person living with mental illness? What is justice after all?
