Laura is a piano player who abandons her husband because she can't stand their spoiled relationship anymore. Because of this, she takes a job as a piaño composer for Marta, a "vedette". Laura moves then to Marta's chalet to start working. The people of the town will soon start gossiping about the nature of their relationship, but the two women will find on each other the comfort, company and love they were both looking for.

In this offbeat comedy, a clerk and his mother visit the beach the day before his wedding. He leaves his mother alone for a few minutes and returns to find she has drowned. Not wanting to delay his wedding with the standard mourning period, he packs his mother in ice. (allmovie.com)
