A somewhat liberal adaptation of the life of painter Shuu Ito, the film focuses on his sexual torture of two wives and a prostitute. Ito chronicles the sessions in journals, shares his pseudo-Sadean philosophy, and drives women mad with equal hell-bent intensity. (Robert Firsching)

Tomomi and Hiroshi are on their honeymoon. During the seaside drive, she happens to see a girl being sexually assaulted. This sparks old memories of a rape which had deflowered her when she was much younger. Then, by coincidence, shortly after the couple arrives in the resort town, Tomomi spots the man who had raped her. He’s now working as a hotel bartender. Even though she immediately remembered him, the man did not recognize her.

Set in a small town in the outer Chiba region, this film portrays the heartbreaking story of a female diver who, caught in an impossible love with her stepbrother, tries to break free from her pain. During the night, she immerses herself in relationships with men while working as a part-time geisha.
