This is a typical story from the 'cold war' era. A Bulgarian secret service agent is sent to a big Western European company. He works under cover using a false name and finds that company is in fact a spy head office. His former colleague, who detected traces of the espionage business, is killed. The mission of the new agent becomes harder and harder. He receives unexpected help from the secretary of the company, who helps him reveal the identities of all foreign agents in Eastern Europe. In the 13 c. Yoan Asen ruled Bulgaria. The king is good and wise ruler, but very authoritative as well. He realizes that prolonged wars have exhausted his people and decided to uphold peace by all means. His solution is to marry several times in order to protect the interests of the state. Ani and Boyan are in love. Ani's sister doesn't approve and tries to separate them. At the same time Ani is send from work to show a very important Russian pilot Bulgaria. On the road the old pilot sees that something is disturbing her and without her knowedge tries to get her and Boyan back together. At the end he sees nothing of the country, but he makes Ani happy.

A new boss arrives at the construction of a dam. He falls in love with the woman, who works at the little shop there. His wife leaves him. Accident happens at the dam and him men and he try to fix it, risking their lives at the process.

The story begins with a serious disillusionment experienced by a young girl at her school-leaving farewell ball. Apostol, an architect on this side of forty, meets by chance Bella at a swimming pool on the night of her graduation party.
