Shortly before the Spanish conquest of Mexico, two Spaniards are shipwrecked in the New World. They befriend the natives who mistake them for gods.
This leads to conflicts in the nearby Aztec Empire. Tizcuitl, a beautiful Aztec girl falls in love with one of the Spaniards, but she is also courted by Moctezuma, king of the Aztecs whose power is threatened by the news of the arriving gods.
The conflict escalates with the arrival of Hernán Cortes who is determined to conquer the Aztec people.
Miguel kills his partner. Two elders witness it, foretelling his dreams will manifest, but at a price. Twenty-two years later, a messenger's dreams start coming true as prophesied, setting events in motion linked to the past murder. (imdb)
