But Mighty Mouse comes to the rescue after drinking a bottle of "Atomic Energy." He reverses the flood waters and puts everything back where it was. And in this cartoon, he uses magic lightning bolts coming off his hands like Merlin the Magician!

All of the mice gather around a giant TV to watch a fairy tale about Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The Wolf and his buddies are laying in wait for Goldilocks. The fox convinces the duck that the sky is falling, and the duck tells the hen, and both of them tell the pig, and the three of them tell the King and, the next thing anyone knows is that the whole kingdom is twatting and twittering over the upcoming catastrophe, with the exception of the one who started the rumor. Many sight gags find their way into this story of Mighty Mouse coming to the rescue of a fair maiden. Oil Can Harry is determined to marry Pearl Pureheart. Mighty Mouse can't stop him because he is tied in front of a big cannon. Pearl manages to escape from Oil Can Harry, singing opera all the while. This cartoon is played like a chapter from a cliffhanger serial, with lots of action and suspense (and singing).

Oil Can Harry captures Mighty Mouse and traps him in the Mohave desert about to be eaten by vultures. Harry kidnaps Pearl Pureheart's father, the Colonel, ties him with a boulder and drops him off the Brooklyn Bridge and into the East river teeming with hungry crocodiles, then he goes after Pearl. The cops were too late to stop him as Harry absconds with Pearl. Meanwhile, Mighty Mouse breaks free and clobbers the vultures, rescues the colonel and his daughter and defeats Harry once again.

The talking magpies go to Africa to indulge in a bit of lion-hunting and, once there, they find a lion who has no desire to be hunted by two wise-cracking birds. Heckle almost meets his maker when Jeckle persuades him to serve as lion bait. The lion is deceived for a little while when they promise him a movie contract but the end finds the score about dead-even between the hunters and the huntee. (imdb)

Looey the Lion is tossed out of the circus for ruining an act in progress. He works hard and devises himself a high-wire bicycle act, sneaks back into the circus, has many mishaps while performing his, and is thrown out again.

Oil Can Harry, most malevolent and evil of all the villainous cats, has pretty Pearl Pureheart, cutest mouse of them all, in his grasping clutches, and ties her to the railroad tracks. But here comes Mighty Mouse to her rescue. (imdb)

A fast-talking airplane-salesman inspires the farmyard animals to building airplanes of their own, but farmer Alfalfa is set on not getting off of the ground. The salesman finally gets him to take a flight, with the result that he vows never to take another one. (imdb)

When war is announced, all the forest animals, birds and bugs go into manufacturing of armaments, helmets and the like, with an annoying jingle about the country's instruction to step up production musically repeated. (imdb)

This one has lots of what Terrytoons are notorious for: cycles! And cycles of the commonest kind: ants harvesting and a baby factory! It also has a voluptuous Queen Ant and a sweetly delivered punchline which may make it worth your trouble. Withheld from television release; presumably because it leaves too many "birds-and-bees" questions unanswered for tiny tots (and their beleaguered parents).

Joey, a mouse caricature of Joe E. Brown, comes to visit a bunch of kiddie mice in their home inside a wall. A cat that's been chasing them is easily outwitted by Joey. (imdb)

A frog boy calls on his froggette sweetheart, who lives in a well with a bucket for a lift. He can't escape her family so, to be alone, they visit a fair and partake in the rides and food. (imdb)

A Rooster finds that none of the housework, cooking or chick-minding is going on when the hens join the WAACs. Throwing themselves into a first-aid course, they manage to tie up the Rooster with bandages and nearly run him down with a jeep. (imdb)

The opening scene shows a battle going on, and a soldier tells his commanding officer that they're running low on artillery. The commanding officer phones in to headquarters, and he tells them of the situation. During the rest of the cartoon, a song tells how all scrap donations are needed for the war effort. Dump trucks and horsedrawn carts going up and down city streets, and people throw their scraps, such as old pots, pans and shoes, into the truck/wagon.

"Put out that light!" Gandy Goose and Sourpuss are Civil Defense air raid wardens on the home front during World War II. They come across a rooster and his family. The rooster fails to heed the media warnings to prepare in advance for blackout drills and scrambles to find suitable materials to make a blackout room in his house- with covered-up windows and no lights on- when the drill does come with hilarious results.

When the sailing ship 'Hesperus' gets into trouble in a raging sea-storm, the ever-vigilant lighthouse keeper, Mighty Mouse, flies forth and comes to the rescue of the captain, his fair-maiden daughter, and the crew. (imdb)

Gandy (who sleeps with Sourpuss for some unknown reason) dreams about Sourpuss's girlfriend, so Sourpuss keeps waking him up and beating the heck out of him. Later, Sourpuss figures out how he can get into the dreams, too.

The big bad cats are the villains/Indians, and the little mice are the settlers going west in their little covered wagons, and the Indians are on a rampage about it. Things look dark indeed for the settlers when the likes of Buffalo Bill, General Custer and Daniel Boone are unable to defeat the attacking cats but...wait...up in the sky...here comes the singing, flying mouse...Mighty Mouse. A topical post-WWII cartoon dealing with the shortage of housing for the returning military people and their families. In this one, though, the family having a housing problem is a family of pigs. They trail moving vans and investigate "For Rent" signs, and even try to move the dogs out of their kennel.
