Azura is the last of a warrior race known as the Sarnians, who were conquered by the Visray Empire. She lives on the streets of the human mining colony Draiga since escaping as a child, until she finally gets captured again by the Visray forces, who make her fight to the death in gladiatorial combat. Meanwhile, the human freedom fighters of Draiga try to resist the cruel machinations of Visray Section Commander Sorrentine. The fate of the humans on Draiga and Azura are set to become intertwined.
