In the second of this series of "Streamliner" westerns from Hal Roach (preceded by "Dudes Are Pretty People" and followed by "Prairie Chickens"), wandering cowboys Pidge Crosby and Jimmy take a job breaking horses for Tom Pendergrast at the railroad corral, and the horses stampede through town when Pidge,preoccupied as usual with chasing a girl, leaves the door open on the opposite side of the railroad car Jimmy is driving the horses into. In the first of the Roach Studio western "Streamliners" (followed by "Calaboose" and "Prairie Chickens') wandering cowboys Jimmy and Pidge are introduced as none-too-bright sons of the sage, with Jimmy's role primarily to keep Pidge out of girl trouble. They are afoot, as Pidge had figured that two-pair in a poker game was worth betting their horses on. (imdb)

Before he was killed by Mark Foster's men, Bud Lawton willed part ownership in his ranch to Hoppy and his two pals. When the three arrive they find a fake posing as Lawton. When they expose the imposter, Foster gets the Sheriff to jail them for Lawton's murder. (imdb)

Having been sent to prison by Hoppy, Hammond returns and sets out to have his stooge Doyle win the Sheriff's election from Hoppy. He brings in forty thieves who keep the ranchers away and also stuff the ballot box. After Doyle wins, Hoppy finds the votes for Doyle were printed on counterfeit ballots. When he sends Jimmy to the Governor with the evidence, Hammond's men capture him. Hoppy switches clothes with Doyle and forces him to accompany him as he heads out to face the gang. (imdb)

After Hoppy helps round up the Trilling gang, Trilling breaks his men out of jail and they rustle the Bar 20 herd for revenge. When Hoppy gets the herd back, Trilling posing as a Marshal not only gets the herd again, he gets the Sheriff to jail the Bar 20 gang. Getting help from the Sheriff's daughter, Hoppy and pals start out once more after Trilling.

Julie's husband has been murdered and land agents want her to sign away her property rights. Hoppy warns against this but she does so anyway. It looks as though she will be unable to deliver the timber called for in her agreement. Hoppy has to make the lumber deal happened and solve the murder. (imdb)

When Hoppy's falsely accused young friend is killed while supposedly trying to escape from jail, an embittered Hoppy is blamed and drummed out of the Texas Rangers. (imdb)

A gang of outlaws are using force to become possessors of every ranch in the area. Hoppy, of course, is out to stop them.

Jim Fenton helps rescue a falsely imprisoned inventor and assists him in avenging himself on the man who robbed him of his invention and of his freedom.
