Biography: Li made his film debut in Shaolin Temple, the movie that launched the Hong Kong martial arts craze of the 1980s. A plethora of very popular Hong Kong action flicks followed; by the mid-'90s, Once Upon a Time in China, Black Mask and The Defender were getting release, and notice, in America. Li made his U.S. debut as a villain in Lethal Weapon 4. Li first u.s. starring role in Romeo Must Die. His American films include Kiss of the Dragon, The One and Cradle 2 the Grave.
