The frame of the story takes place in the 1990s but most of the story is their reflection to the 1970s. Synek is a young guy just out of prison that wants to make a lot of money fast. He knows some tricks but has ambition to learn more so he teams up with an experienced conman named Eryk.

Mirka is a young girl from the Warsaw district of Praga. Brought up in the very particular atmosphere of the district she loves it totally. She graduated a law and it seems that her profession is almost a scar on the family's values, showing such professional cunning has its effects. However, Mirka may also represent the last hope for the people living in the old household estate. She using her wit, grace and beauty will have to face the most arduous task in all her career and life so far...
