Arjun (Dileep), trying to raise money to treat his crippled brother, joins BCM college & hopes to compete in the South Zone athletic meet & win the prize money, to be able to do that. Gowri (Gajala) & her elder brother Rahul (Madhu Warrier) also studies there. After an initial spat, Gowri takes a fancy to Arjun, angering Tinu (Riyaz Khan) who had an eye on Gowri. Tinu misleads Rahul against Arjun, which pits both of them against each other in the meet, with Gowri torn between Rahul & Arjun.

A spoilt brat, Maradona (Shantanu Bhagyaraj), gets into various messes & dejected with life, tries to commit suicide but is saved by an angel, John (Mohanlal), who gives him 2 options - either live a normal life till the age of 66, or enjoy all the pleasures of life but only live till 22. Maradona picks the latter & gets one wish of his granted per day, but by the time he learns the meaning of life & turns into a good human being, time starts running out for him as he nears his 22nd birthday.
