Cuba Mukundan (Sreenivasan) is an 'impractical idealist.' He is a staunch leftist who lives for the movement. Circumstances force him to take up a job in Dubai. But he finds himself a misfit in a highly materialistic world. Shyam Balagopal (Prithviraj) has been kicked out from almost all colleges he attended, including the last one & his mom, who is a lecturer in an all-women college, attributes all that to the bad company he keeps. Josekutty (Prithviraj), an auto rickshaw driver & the sole support of a struggling family, agrees to marry a wealthy single mother of the Mekloth family, Nancy (Kaveri), mistaking her to be the girl he was secretly attracted to (Kavya Madhavan). His friend, Paappikunju (Harisree Asokan), also cook up a lie that Josekutty is the father of the child, to make his family agree to the marriage. However, Nancy commits suicide the day before the wedding, now Josekutty has to accept & rear the toddler.

Chandni (Kavya Madhavan), adopted daughter of Mayor Krishnadas (Vijayaraghavan), loses her mind after seeing him murdered by Vishnu (Baburaj) & escapes to Ooty. Roy (Kunchako) & Appachan (Salim Kumar) & their creditors Balu (Jayasurya) & Ponnappan (Harisree Asokan), whom they are on the run from, also end up in Ooty. Vishnu & Shivchandra Panicker who is out to get Chandni, a witness to Krishnadas's murder, gives the job to Samad Khan (Sharat Saxena), who in turn gives that job to Roy & Appachan.

His constant companion & friend GK (Jayasurya) dreams of becoming the Director of Starline, someday. Hareendran weaves dreams around Indu (Bhama), the girl his mother proposed that he marry. GK ruins the wedding by causing Indu to walk out with her lover Alex (Manikuttan). This shatters Hareendran & he takes to drinking. Later, GK is found dead & the blame falls on Hareendran.

Three hotel management students - Deepu (Kunchako Boban), Alex Chandy aka Kunjoonju (Prithviraj), Ashtamurthy (Jayasurya) - come to live as tenants at the Pondicherry Inn, run by two sisters Kamala (Meera Jasmine) & Padma (Bhavana) & their mother Sofie (Kalaranjini). All 3 guys fall for Kamala & tries to woo her. Ashtamurthy falls out of the race after Kamala ties a "rakhi" on him. Kunjoonju makes passes at Kamala which results in a fight with Deepu & Kamala evicts them all from Pondicherry Inn.

Raju (Suraj), Cheri (Ramesh Pisharody), Winnie (Vani Kishore) & Udayan (Manikuttan) are close pals & have a music band. Raju meets & falls in love with Jyothi (Ayilya), who later strangely disappears. When a murder happens in the apartment next to Winnie, Raju is shocked to find that the wife of the deceased was Jyothi. Assistant Commissioner of Police, Aniyan (Jayasurya), & his senior, Police Commissioner (Saikumar) investigates the murder & Raju is the prime suspect in the Commissioner's eyes.

A mentally ill patient with a personality disorder, Bobby (Jayasurya), escapes with a doctor's credentials & joins 'Brylin Mental Hospital' as Dr. Ruben Isaac. Transforming himself into the role of a doctor very convincingly, he introduces several unusual treatment routines for the inmates. Although initially opposed to his ways, Rakhi Devadas (Radha Varma), the hospital manager, eventually gets attracted to Bobby. At this juncture, the real Dr. Ruben Isaac (Mukesh) shows up at the hospital.

To wean his daughter Indira (Bhavana) off her love for his maid's son Chandu (Jayasurya), Thampuran (Janardanan) makes Chandu write fake love letters to an imaginary girl, Vasumathi. However, a Vasumathi (Navya Nair) did exist in dire straits & when she receives the letters, she elopes to meet Chandu. Indira, learning the truth, also shows up at Chandu's doorstep, & now Chandu is torn between the two. Chandu, with the help of his pals, also weaves plans to eradicate Vasumathi's familial woes.

Keshu (Jayasurya) ekes out at a photocopying center, with a terminally ill mother at home. Driven to desperation, he uses counterfeiting techniques from his late novelist father's unpublished work & counterfeits a 1000 rupee note. Seeing his skill, Danny D'souza (Mukesh) goads him into faking more bills & finally they end up stealing 10 crores of cash & substituting it with fake bills. After Adithya gets cheated in a visa fraud & gets heavily in debt, Antony takes up the job of a driver at the affluent Nellickal family house & shortly brings in Adithya as their manager & Lakshmi as their house maid, without revealing their identities.

Devadas (Devadas), a young boy, drinks a potion brewed by scientist R.C. Shekar (Jackie Shroff) which makes him invisible, with the aim of rescuing Maya (Kavya Madhavan) who had adopted Devadas as a child, but who was in mortal danger for having videotaped an illegal transaction involving political bigwigs. In between trying to rescue Maya, a gunshot wound sparks off a chemical reaction in Devadas, turning him into a hulk-like monster.

Bus owner & conductor Zakir Hussain (Mammootty) gets into a mess when his nephew Najeeb's (Jayasurya) pregnant girlfriend Sugandhi (Bhavana) shows up, after she leaves her own home for good to be with Najeeb. With Najeeb away in Dubai for work & Zakir's own sister Celina's (Mamtha Mohandas) wedding around the corner, Zakir tries to hide Sugandhi till Najeeb got back, with disastrous results.

Village simple Kocherukkan (Jayasurya) elopes with his childhood sweetie Malli (Mythili), a maid at the house of wealthy Chandrasekhara Vazhunnor (Saikumar), & they stay with their pal Murugan (Sudheesh) to eke out a living. However, cop Kumaranesan (Siddique) who had lost an eye trying to stop their elopement, catches up with them & arrests Kocherukkan for a bunch of fabricated crimes. Eager to see Malli, Kocherukkan breaks out of jail, only to become more wanted in the eyes of the law.

Ravi Abraham (Anoop Menon) & Parvathi's (Samvrutha Sunil) perfect life is instantly turned upside down when their little girl Ammu is abducted by a kidnapper, Ambi (Jayasurya), with an elaborate scheme. With the clock ticking on their daughter's life, the couple is forced to comply with the wishes of the madman. Gentleman Vijay (Kunchako Boban) finds an unlikely friend in the form of troublemaker Ajith (Dileep), & they become thick pals. Later Vijay learns that the girl whom he had been wooing was Ajith's sister Geethu (Kavya Madhavan), but he goes ahead with the relationship anyway. But when Vijay learns of Ajith's past which was traumatized by the betrayal of his other sister who had eloped with her lover on her wedding day, he sets aside his feelings for Geethu so as not to hurt Ajith again.

Four people from different backgrounds - rich businessman Roy (Jayaram), roughneck Amir (Jayasurya), musician Surya (Kunchako Boban) & medical student Gaury (Meera Jasmine), all cancer patients on their final stages of the disease, meet at a cancer care center & become deep friends. Usurer Purushu (Mammootty), called 'parunthu' (eagle) for the merciless way he swooped down on his delinquent clients, wrecks the family of Hemant (Jagathi) & his two daughters Rakhi (Lakshmi Rai) & Bhuvana (Poornitha), after he abases Hemant for default, during Rakhi's betrothal. Purushu's foe Kallayi Azeez (Jayakumar) seizes the opportunity & helps the family, with the aim of bedding the girls. When Purushu turns over a new leaf after a near fatal incident, he becomes the girls' guardian.

Priyadarshan (Jayasurya), a do-gooder simpleton, falls in love with his rich neighbor, Meera (Bhama), mistaking her to be a maid servant. Meanwhile, a temporary job which Priyadarshan got when his predecessor Vyshakan (Manoj K. Jayan) went on a long leave, is jeopardized when Vyshakan decides to join back. Vyshakan, a struggling director, demands that Priyadarshan find a movie financier for him, in return for giving up his job.

Josie John (Jayasurya), the only son of single mother Padma (Rohini), doesn't take life seriously & always goofs off with his friends, saddening Padma, who had her hopes pinned on him. Josie loses his mother to an accident, but in a quirk of fate, Josie's father John Varghese (Lal), who had gone missing 20 years ago at sea & had since been presumed dead, returns. Josie's joy is short-lived however when seeing his indisciplined life, John takes him to task to instill some disciple in his life.

3 cousins, Bhaskaranunni Raja (Indrajith), Sankaraunni Raja (Jayasurya) & Ramanunni Raja (Kunchako Boban), who were always at each other's throats, go in search of hidden treasure belonging to their ancestors, after they stumble upon a treasure map, & tagged along by their girlfriends Manju (Sandhya), Anju (Samvrutha Sunil) & Renju (Ann Augustine), who also happened to be sisters. At each step of the way, they try to outsmart each other to get to the treasure first.

Based on the 11 July 2006 Mumbai train bombings, the film is a take on the lives of Malayali families affected by the bomb blasts. Police officer Kedarnath (Mammootty), after losing his wife & elder daughter to a terrorist attack, is ever suspicious & a keen observer. He gets suspicious of a stranger at a train station & goes on a mission to track him down, who later turns to be the gang leader of the group responsible for the blasts.

Jayaraman (Jayasurya) loses his job in Dubai & returns home to Kerala posing as the winner of a 50 crore lottery, to much adulation of his family & friends, each of them wanting a cut. Jayaraman gets caught in a trap of a group of people wanting to get their hands on Jayaraman's village of Gopalapuram for a chemical factory, who use him as a pawn in their plans. Jayaraman fights back with the help of Meera (Ananya), a social activist, who had earlier seen through Jayaraman's lottery charade.

Sankaran Nambiar (Jayasurya) dies on the day after his marriage due to snakebite, leaving a bereaved family behind. As his younger brother Mohanan (Jayasurya) tries to move on with life, he starts getting visions of Sankaran, trying to convince Mohanan that he hasn't died. Soon the visions become more frequent, & when Rajalakshmi (Meera Nandan), Sankaran's widow, decides to remarry, Sankaran's ghost urges Mohanan to stop the marriage, resulting in a series of attempts by Mohanan to foil it.

Anoop Krishnan (Jayasurya), an uppity fashion-conscious youngster who wanted to do an MBA & land a cushy job, gets sent by his mother against his will to teach at a rural government school. The lives of various people intersect at Trivandrum Lodge, a decrepit lodge in the heart of Kochi. The owner of the lodge is Ravishankar (Anoop Menon), a rich widower who kept the lodge intact due to sentimental reasons. The government, taking stock of the real estate in that area, asks Ravishankar to prove his ownership of the lodge, but after Ravishankar is unsuccessful in finding the lodge's documents, the inmates are faced with eviction.

Trying to cut corners, he takes a trip to Karnataka to buy granite for his new house & ends up being accused for murder after an altercation where he is forced to defend himself.

ACP Antony Moses (Prithviraj) finds the killer of his friend ACP Aaryan John Jacob, but just before revealing it to his friend & superior officer Commissioner Farhan (Rahman), he meets with a car accident, causing him to forget everything. Out of the hospital days later, but still amnesic, Farhan urges Antony to investigate the murder once again.

Shankaran (Jayasurya), a Kathakali artist who works at a restaurant, keeps writing letters to his lady love back home. Joy (Mukesh), aided by his wife Sally (Sona Nair), looks after his terminally ill mother.

A stranger (Jayasurya) takes the police department on a wild goose chase & terrifies the city as he sets off bomb scares across different places in town that the cops now have to chase down, verify & defuse.

Sreekumar (Jayasurya), a highly educated young man, is forced to become a pen-pusher at a pig farm after he is kicked out of his doctoral program for snubbing the romantic overtures of his lady professor Jayalakshmi (Reena Basheer). Later, after speaking out against the injustices & corruption he sees at the pig farm, a vengeful management demotes him to an animal feeder at the farm.

As a young politician, Tarun Singh Deol (Saiju Kurup), who is suspected of having embezzled Rs. 5000 crores, comes from Delhi to Kerala to launder his money, the cops decide to trail him. A lookalike of Deol, Rafeeq Ahmad (Saiju Kurup), also happens to take the same flight from Mumbai, to transport the DVD of a pirated Malayalam movie from Dubai to Kerala. Chaos ensues when Deol & Rafeeq are mistaken for each other, & are kidnapped by different gangs.

Struggling contractor Dinesh Kondody (Jayasurya) sells a house he partially owned to Paramu Nair (Narendra Prasad) to get cash for his share & ease his financial woes, but a resurvey of the land leaves half of the house in Kerala & the other half in Tamil Nadu. The part in Tamil Nadu comes under the ownership of Peria Thevar (Thalaivasal Vijay) & his niece Sundari (Girly) starts living in that part of the house. Dinesh starts living in the other side & soon they are scheming to evict each other.

Joy Thakkolkaran (Jayasurya), an entrepreneur, after coming across the technology to make incense sticks from elephant dung, struggles to get this fledgling incense manufacturing company off the ground, but has to lock horns with the local political party RIP (Revolutionary Independent Party). The kerfuffle results in RIP goons thrashing Joy's office building after Joy defies a hartal (strike) called by RIP. Joy files for damages against RIP, & a battle of wits ensues.

10-year old Ryan Philip (Sanoop Santhosh), an incorrigible student & a nightmare to his teachers, suddenly turns over a new leaf after he comes in possession of a magical monkey pen (a pen shaped like a monkey). The pen starts off doing Ryan's homework, saving him from punishment, followed by mending fences with Ryan's teachers & finally earning him an award for the best student of the school. In the process, the pen makes Ryan realize that only his own hard work would pay off in the end.

In 'Gangs of Vadakkumnathan', a shrewd Bangalore-based cop comes to Trichur to find the killer of a beer magnate & his 750 crores of missing illegal money. In 'Day of Judgement', the cops play mind games with Dr. Sunil Mathew (Fahad Fazil) to make him confess to his wife's murder.

David (Jayasurya), an orphan who was raised by priest Fr. Gerald (P. Balachandran) in a church in Vagamon, grows up to be a timid young man. His favorite past time was working on electrical & electronic components & inventing gizmos. One of his works, a pedal-powered electric generator, lands in the hands of inventor & angel investor Sunny Ulahannan (Anoop Menon), who seeks out David. Sunny uses David's technology to launch a commercial product & get rich, but fails to give David due credits.

3 friends - Amar (Prithviraj), Akbar (Jayasurya) & Anthony (Indrajith) - from poor families living in Fort Kochi, go about their daily lives goofing off, getting drunk & chasing girls, especially the neighborhood girl Jenny (Namitha Pramod). However, their lives take a serious turn when a young girl known to them, Pathumma (Meenakshi), goes missing & later turns up dead after being sexually molested.
