The life of a father and her daughter is turning upside down for the arriving of a strange family of a mother and her five sons.

An elf casts a magic spell that grants a queen the baby she desires. She names the baby Rosebud and invites all the fairies in the kingdom to offer gifts to the new princess. The Red Fairy, however, isn't invited, and curses the baby princess to sleep for 100 years if she's pricked by a spindle.
