Cuba Mukundan (Sreenivasan) is an 'impractical idealist.' He is a staunch leftist who lives for the movement. Circumstances force him to take up a job in Dubai. But he finds himself a misfit in a highly materialistic world. He has always had a soft corner for China as a result of his leftist leanings and when he meets a Chinese girl, she quickly finds a special place in his heart as she symbolizes China to him. Through her, he also learns of the Communist failings in other parts of the world.

Four angry young men - Aravind (Arun), Vivek (Bharath), Eshwar (Arjun) & Shafeeq (Padma Kumar) - turn vigilantes against the corruption & evils in the society & form a clique called '4 The People' to take out corrupt officials by cutting off their hands or fingers. SP Rajan Mathew (Narein) gets handed over their case & tries to hunt them down. Aravind feigns love towards Rajan's sister Teena (Pranathi), allowing them to spy on Rajan's plans & keeping them ahead of the cops who are after them.

Three hotel management students - Deepu (Kunchako Boban), Alex Chandy aka Kunjoonju (Prithviraj), Ashtamurthy (Jayasurya) - come to live as tenants at the Pondicherry Inn, run by two sisters Kamala (Meera Jasmine) & Padma (Bhavana) & their mother Sofie (Kalaranjini). All 3 guys fall for Kamala & tries to woo her. Ashtamurthy falls out of the race after Kamala ties a "rakhi" on him. Kunjoonju makes passes at Kamala which results in a fight with Deepu & Kamala evicts them all from Pondicherry Inn.

Jennifer (Meera Jasmine), whose whole Jewish family depended on her to marry someone from Israel, to emigrate there, has to stifle her feelings for Sachidanandan (Dileep), son of late renowned musician Raveendranath (Murali), to fulfill her family's wishes. As the day for her to leave for Israel & get married draws near, she plays matchmaker to hook Sachidanandan up with her new found best friend, Pooja (Navya Nair), who was in town from Mumbai.

7 young men - Shyam (Kunchako Boban), Sooraj (Asif Ali), Arun (Aju Varghese), Shaukath (Nivin Pauly), Sarath (Ranjith Menon), Linto (Ameer Niyas), & Satheesh (Vijeesh Vijayan) - crazy about soccer, gets drawn into a world of crime after they get strapped for cash to save the life of a young man, Aravind (Vineeth Kumar) whom they injured in a soccer match. Blamed for a murder they didn't commit, they get arrested by the cops, with the goons of a crime boss also after them.

Dr Arjun (Fahad Fazil) is a young oncologist who lives in a posh apartment in the world's biggest and expensive building in Dubai, Burg Khalifa. Because of his lavish lifestyle and spendthrift attitude, Dr Arjun gets into a huge debt with credit card companies. Over the period that he lives in Dubai and in Kerala, Dr Arjun's life gets completely intertwined by the three women who enter his life. Aymanam Sidharthan (Fahadh Faasil) is the ambitious local youth wing leader of a political party. However, his dreams are shattered when he is bypassed for the nomination for the MLA seat. At this time, a Canadian citizen of Malayali origin, Irene Gardner (Amala Paul), visits Kerala to shoot a documentary & Sidharthan joins up as her assistant. Later, Sidharthan comes to know that Irene has actually come to India in search of her biological parents & Sidharthan joins in her search.

Vikram (Unni Mukundan), son of cop Vasudeva Shenoy (Anoop Menon), & Adithyan (Dulquer Salmaan), son of thief Kunjunni Menon (Santhosh Keezhattoor), are childhood rivals, who compete for everything including the attention of their lady pal Deepika Pai (Namitha Pramod). Seeing Shenoy groom his son to be a Sub-Inspector, Adithyan tries to be one too, but Shenoy dupes Adithyan's mother Lakshmi (Lena) to cheat him out of the job. A dejected Adithyan leaves home, but chases a higher dream.

Jomon (Dulquer Salmaan), the prodigal son of businessman Vincent (Mukesh), is the black sheep of the family, deemed irresponsible & always blamed for wasting money by Vincent, & Jomon's elder brothers. However, when Vincent's businesses fail & he goes broke, he finds that everyone except Jomon has bailed on him, & the only one he could rely on is Jomon.
