I.M. Vijayan

Isahak (Mohanlal) is a fisherman who falls in love with Devi (Laila). They get married at sea and spend their first night at sea. But their happiness is short lived as Devi is arrested and jailed for murder on that very same night. It is on their fifth wedding anniversary that Isahak comes to know that Devi is being released on parole. This changes his whole world and brings joy to his life.

Induchoodan (Renjith), a radical, along with his comrades, including best friend Harikrishnan (Siddique), plots to kill an evil landlord Chacko (Rajamani), but ends up killing someone else by mistake. Even after severe torture, a captured Induchoodan doesn't reveal any names. Jailed for 6 years, he comes out, starts life anew & raises a family, but when he learns that Chacko was still carrying on his atrocities, he leaves his life & family behind & returns to his revolutionary ways.
