It's 1945, and the princess Ulrike von Brandenburg is on the run to the west, with an old uncle and two court ladies, to Bavaria, where the von Brandenburgs still own a castle. Along the way they get under fire from a low-flying aircraft and lose most of their luggage in a river, together with the case with the crown jewels.
