Hemachandran (Hemanth Menon) takes a fancy to next door flirt Shyama (Sreelekha) & for the first time, Shyama falls for real too. However Shyama's grandad Vasudeva Kartha (Nedumudi Venu) warns him about Sathyamurthy, a maniac out to kill Shyama & also about her horoscope which predicted her death or her hubby's in 6 months, if she was ever to marry. Scorning the idea, but wanting to end Shyama's fear, Hemachandran marries Shyama, but moves in alone to a haunted house to disprove the horoscope.

Vinayachandran (Kunchako Boban), a struggling writer, is an expert on making people fall in love. Sathyasheelan (Innocent), a college professor, enlists Vinayachandran's help to help his love life & gets him a job at the college cafeteria. Vinayachandran goes on a matchmaking spree & soon gets to be known as 'Doctor Love'. However, his toughest challenge was yet to come - to make Ebin (Bhavana), the college beauty & a headstrong girl, fall in love with his meek friend Roy (Hemanth Menon).

Eravi Kuttan Pillai (Kunchako Boban) gets a job as a bus conductor on a daily service bus to the remote village of Gavi. Staying there overnight everyday, Eravi forms a bond with the villagers & with his bus driver Suku (Biju Menon). But Eravi's irenic life is derailed when he drives the bus once & mistakenly hits a passerby who turns out to be Devan (Hemanth Menon), the son of villager Venu (Lalu Alex). Eravi & Suku send Devan off to the hospital with a stranger, but later Devan is found dead.

Ravi Tharakan (Prithviraj), a famed doctor, gets into trouble after he is accused of operating on a 6 year old girl without her parents' consent & the girl dies while in surgery. As the media & the cops bay for his blood, Ravi's friends - best friend Vivek (Narein), colleague Diya (Rima Kallingal) & ex-colleague Supriya (Ramya Nambeeshan) - ruminate on Ravi's & theirs' past.

'Chapters' chronicles 4 distinct stories with interlocking connections. Chapter 1 has Krishna Kumar (Nivin Pauly) & his 3 friends try to raise cash for Krishna Kumar's sister's wedding by brokering the sale of a rare gem, but gets cheated out of the cash. Chapter 2 has Sethu (Sreenivasan), transporting money meant for his son's surgery. Chapter 3 has a group of friends helping a couple elope to marry & Chapter 4 has Sethu from chapter 2 revealing how he came across the cash for the surgery.

Julie (Shamna Kasim), an Anglo-Indian girl living in Coonoor, falls in love with her best friend Usha's (Shelly Kishore) elder brother Sasi Warrier (Hemanth Menon), a Hindu boy. Coaxed by Sasi into a passionate encounter, she gets pregnant. Not knowing about this, Sasi leaves for work, leaving Julie to face the consequences alone.

An affluent couple - Paul & Sheela (Lena) - decides to return their adopted son Thommi (Gowri Shankar) back to the orphanage where they adopted him from, after the couple become pregnant with their own baby.
