Not wishing to see their nephew marry a hotel manucurist, Leon and his wife decide to stop the wedding plans. At the hotel, Leon mistakes Maizie (Dorothy Granger), the gold-digging girl friend of the house detective (Tom Kennedy), for his nephew's intended. He invites her up to his room and promises her a trip to Havana if she will jilt the nephew. Enter Maizie's boy friend, followed by Leon's wife, both of whom are sure Leon is up to hanky-panky and Leon, as usual, is up to...and in it. (imdb)

Edgar decides the 4th of July fireworks celebration in town is too much for his nerves, and he and his wife Sally and her brother will take a nice drive out into the countryside and have a nice, peaceful picnic. His first mistake is inviting the sons of his neighbor to go with them, and his second is picking an Army artillery firing range as the location of the picnic. (imdb)

Edgar is a census taker, but is primarily interested in finding a rich widow for his father-in-law (Billy Franey), so he won't have to continue to support him. All Pop wants to make him happy is a cow. When Edgar comes home with both a cow and a phony rich widow, the results are not what Edgar planned for.

Edgar starts a trailer vacation with his wife Vivien and father-in-law, but doesn't get far before they are overtaken by two men from the finance company, who repossess the trailer for non-payment. Edgar discovers that Pop had failed to mail the money order he had given him for the payment. He also finds some other items Pop failed to take care of.

Salesman Leon Errol joins a polo club to secure an order from a tough-sell member. He manages to gum up the deal for his company and gets fired.

Errol's stenographer tells him she will have to leave her job because of her jealous husband, so he volunteers to explain away his doubts.

Errol is mistakenly involved in the raid of a burlesque show where he had innocently gone in order to hire some talent, including a fan dancer, for his lodge show.

Mrs. Errol, rehearsing for a play but keeping it a secret from Leon, forces him to take a taxi, as she needs the family car. The taxi driver tells Leon a tale of a love triangle that sets Leon's imagination on fire. He follows his wife and discovers her rehearsing a love scene with an actor, and he thinks it is real. He is leaving when he hears a pistol shot and rushes back, to discover his wife stuffing a dummy in a hamper, but he thinks it is a real body.

Whitley and his singing group want to make time with young ladies at a finishing school…and vice-versa. However, the old matron in charge threatens to shoot Ray and his men so they come up with a plan to trick her.
