Adriana, a young mother, and her baby, are abandoned by her former lover Diego. Adriana later finds a job at a large hairdresser's and looks to lead a dignified life with her daughter. Mario, the accountant of the shop, begins to court her, yet Adriana's shame at her child out of wedlock sees her shun his advances, and her life is plunged back into chaos when Diego returns on the scene.
