Meg moves out of her parents' home and buys a beautiful old Jaguar in a bid for independence. She begins to get strange feelings about the car. It seems to have a presence beyond the usual "personality" attributed to eccentric old cars. Melanie (Rachael Blake) heads out with a group of friends for a night of drinking in New Zealand. After getting sufficiently plastered, she meets a handsome man (Sam Neill) and decides to go home with him. When she awakes, however, she's shocked to find that his home is a boat and they're at sea.
