G.S. Vijayan

Police officer James Pallithara (Sreenivasan) is cowardly, is the butt of all office jokes, and is in stark contrast to his friend and subordinate Nandakumar (Suresh Gopi), who is young and daring. Due to a mix-up of a blood test result, Pallithara falls under the impression that he has a disease that will kill him within days. He then finds that his life insurance only pays off if he is killed in the line of duty. Pallithara becomes a supercop, ignoring danger and trying his best to get killed.

Josekutty (Sudheesh), an orphan, slips into the world of crime after teaming up with petty thief Mayyanad Madhavan (Sreenivasan), but is arrested & jailed. After his release, in a heist gone wrong, he kills a security guard, for which Madhavan accepts the blame & goes to jail. Josekutty, who was trying in vain to get himself jailed, helps an old lady in distress, Rachael Mathew (Srividya), thereby becoming a member of her household & gets close to Rachael's adopted daughter Elsa (Monisha).

Businessman Philipose Manavalan aka Thampi (Mammootty) has a constant headache in the form of his wayward younger brother Raju Manavalan (Rahman) who takes to drugs & squanders the family wealth, but Thampi is shattered when Raju dies in an accident. Thampi comes to terms with Raju's death & an year later, marries Sisily (Shobana) & settles down, but soon the peace is shattered when a lookalike of Raju turns up & claims to be him, throwing Thampi & everyone else around him into confusion.

Bavutti (Mamootty), an orphan who works as the caretaker & driver of a rich businessman Sethu (Shankar Ramakrishnan), tries to keep Sethu's family together when Sethu's wife Vanaja (Kavya Madhavan) gets a vistor from her past - her ex-boyfriend Satheesh (Vineeth) whom she thought to be dead but who now threatens to reveal their past to Sethu, unless Vanaja pays him a large sum of money.
