Second of three versions of Margaret Kennedy's novel about a sickly, sensitive Belgian schoolgirl, Tessa (Victoria Hopper), in love with world-famous composer Lewis Dodd (Brian Aherne), who marries her wealthy cousin Florence (Leonora Corbett). Undermining the already delicate Tessa's health, the composer realises that life without Tessa is unbearable and leaves his unloving wife - but sadly too late.

James Mistoll, one of the owners of a factory working on a process to turn copper ore into radium, falls from a window in the fourth floor and is dead. But it soon transpires that this was no accident, but murder. A case for the famous detective Max Landa, who begins to investigate the case. He sends his assistant Barnes into the company and soon the number of suspects multiplies.

A musical comedy set in Vienna. The title refers to the name of a perfume. Two young women reply to newspaper advertisements but their replies are confused. The two young directors of the perfume company initially have different intentions towards the girls but it all gets sorted out in the end.
