The stagecoaches on the line owned by Colonel Parker are being robbed and the drivers killed, so The Duchess sends for Red Ryder. Businessman Ernest Murphy and his gang of outlaws that include the whistling Chopin, gets hold of the letter that the Duchess wrote Red and hires the Idaho Kid to waylay him. But Red gets the drop on Idaho instead, and then poses as him and joins the gang. Murphy, realizing that Red isn't the man he hired, frames Red for stealing an ore shipment. (imdb)

Two men are partners of the town bank. When one learns the other has cashed in bonds and replaced them with forgeries, he is murdered. The murdered Banker's adopted daughter takes his place and tries to keep the townspeople from losing their money. In Chicago, Red catches the crook Bull and his two young accomplices. Hoping to reform the boys, he brings them back to the ranch. But upon returning he finds that part of the ranch has been burned and all the hands are quitting. (imdb)

In the fourth and last Red Ryder (following "Ride, Rider, Ride", "Roll, Thunder, Roll" and "The Fighting Redhead" in that order) of the Equity Pictures for Eagle-Lion distribution, filmed in Cinecolor, Red Ryder takes Steve Stevenson, who has saved Red's life, to his ranch and gives him a job. Red Ryder gets a telegram from his old friend Dan O'Connor asking for help in his fight against Faro Savage and his gang of rustlers. A gun dropped by Faro during a rustling raid makes Red and Sheila O'Connor, Dan's daughter, think they have ample proof against Faro but they are stymied by the law. Buckskin Blodgett and the Duchess, Red's aunt, find the body of O'Connor who was killed when Faro's men sent the sheriff out on a ruse. (imdb)

The killing of young 'Boots' Hollister in this film is one of the most graphic, chilling and stark scenes, even with most of it off-camera, ever seen in a Republic B-western intended for the Saturday matinée crowd. The story has Red Ryder and his aunt, The Duchess, operating a stage line in the 1890's in Blue Springs. Con Hollister, released from prison and reformed, plans to return the $150,000 loot taken in a stagecoach holdup five years previous. (imdb)

Red Ryder convinces homesteaders to settle in Paradise Valley. Business men in nearby Central City want control of the valley and water supply and propose to build a dam for half interest in the land. They use Red to generate interest in the dam but when the dam is completed, they rig the stockholder's meeting so Central City will get the water. The homesteaders then go after Red whom they think is responsible. (imdb)

One of two towns will be selected to be the County Seat and Editor Palmer has a gang working to make sure his town is chosen. Investigating the lawlessness, Red Ryder poses as an outlaw to get into the gang hoping to find out who the boss is. But Palmer knows Red and exposes his true identity when he arrives and Red and Gabby then find themselves prisoners of the gang. (imdb)

Lambert has the stagecoach wrecked killing the Commissioner so his phony replacement can alter Coonskin's land survey. When Red Ryder exposes the survey hoax, Lambert has his stooge Sheriff put Red in jail.

In Elliot's initial appearance as Red Ryder, he finds himself framed for murder. Little Beaver then foils the crooked Sheriff's attempt to have Red killed excaping jail. When Hannah Rogers gives the Sheriff a note, Red sees her give him a signal. Gabby lifts the note and Red decodes it. The Duchess then gets a confession from Hannah enabling Red to set out after the outlaws.

Red Ryder tries to expose murderous crooks who are terrorizing ranchers into selling their land because they contain secret, oil rich deposits.

Redwood Valley residents raise $50,000 for blasting a mountain tunnel to bring a new railroad there. Town leader Bidwell (James Craven) engineers a plot to steal the money and to blame it on the Reno Kid (Bob Steele) who has recently broken out of prison in order to clear himself of false charges that sent him there and caused him to lose his ranch. The badly-wounded sheriff turns his badge over to Red Ryder (Bill Elliott).

Red Ryder and Little Beaver return to Blue Springs and learn that the Duchess, Red's aunt, is going to sell her stagecoach line and marry a snooty Englishman Talbot Champneys, who is really Fancy Charlie, who has the nasty habit of marrying rich women and then killing them for their fortune. The concerned Red thinks everything is okay until he sees Champneys mistreating Red's horse, Thunder, and he then decides to investigate Champneys.

When the Sheriff of Las Vegas is killed in a bank holdup, Red Ryder is made the new Sheriff. His first problem arises when the Judge is shot and the Judge's son framed for the murder. Red knows the son is innocent from the type of bullet used and after hiding him from the lynch mob, sets a trap for the man he thinks is behind both the robbery and the murder.

The ranch of Red Ryder and his aunt, The Duchess, is being used as the training site for "Gentleman Jim" Corbett for his upcoming fight in Carson City, Nevada for the heavyweight championship against Bob Fitzsimmons.

Red Ryder battles an unscrupulous fur thief named Hunter for the right to trap beaver and otter on the land of Chief Running Fox. Hunter attempts to ambush Ryder and his pal "Bear Trap" and when this fails, he kidnaps Little Beaver, grandson of the Chief, and kills the Judge, with whom the boy had been staying. But the boy manages to escape. The Duchess, Ryder's aunt, turns up and tries to persuade Ryder to return east with her.

Red Ryder returns to Sioux City, Wyoming, at the close of the Spanish-American War, settling down at the ranch of his aunt, The Duchess, with his pals Little Beaver and "Blizard". But Red soon discovers that the country is over-run by rustlers. Unknown to Red and the citizens, the rustlers are led by the town doctor who tips them off where and when to stage a profitable raid.

Red Ryder and Little Beaver ride into a sleepy Arizona town, and are seen by Blackie Blake. Red and his young Indian pal go to the office of Marshal McGaw and Blake sneaks up to a window and is about to shoot Red from ambush, but "Thunder", Red's horse, bears down on him with pounding hoofs. The hostile townspeople gather and are bent upon carrying out the law that says a killer horse must be shot.

The Duchess, the aunt of Red Ryder, comes to town to protect her property. Crawford, a town big-shot behind an outlaw gang, tries to prevent her from reaching her destination, but the attack is thwarted by Red. The latter is made town marshal, and when he gets too close to the truth and is making it too hot for the Crawford faction, Crawford has his henchman Luke kidnap Red's Indian friend Little Beaver.

Jennings is after the Ryder freight lines. His gang robs their stage and then rustles the horses Red Ryder is delivering to the Army, When the Army Captain arrives he arrests Ryder for rustling his own horses.

Riding the plains with Little Beaver and Buckskin Blodgett, Red Ryder encounters bandits trying to hold up the stagecoach carrying Libby Brooks, owner of the Devil's Hole newspaper, and her brother Gerry. Red drives off the attackers. Gerry prints an editorial condemning gunmen and Frenchy Beaumont, owner of the hotel and saloon, tells his henchman Blackjack Keno to kill Gerry.

Jim Bannon is back as enduring cowboy hero Red Ryder in Eagle-Lion’s Roll, Thunder, Roll. As ever, Ryder’s cohorts are Little Beaver and the Duchess, here played by “Little Brown Jug” and Marin Sais. This time, Ryder tries to prove that a series of cattle raids and ranch fires were not the handiwork of masked Mexican do-gooder El Conejo.
