This light comedy finds a Czech taxi driver taking his family on a weekend outing in the country. His wife, daughter-in-law, son and two grandchildren are the passengers who disturb the solitude of two young lovers. While the women attend the horse races, the father sits home getting drunk and watching football. As Homolka bought a new car, his family feels to be hoity toity. However, they can't agree on the destination of the first trip. Grandpa and Ludva propose the football match and grandma with Hedus want to visit some castles. At a time they receive a message from great grandmother that great grandfather is dying.
