Hoping to consolidate their adjoining ranches, Don Fernando and Don Diego betroth their children, Ramón and Dolores, although Ramón is in love with Suzanna, the daughter of a peon on his father's ranch, and Dolores is interested in Pancho, a toreador. When Suzanna learns that she was kidnapped in infancy and is really Don Diego's daughter, she keeps silent; but Ramón finally rebels and steals Suzanna from the altar as she is about to marry Pancho.

The snooty Fernanda decides to visit her uncle in Frisco to escape the attentions on Don Diego but he follows her. Alone in Frisco with her duena, Fernanda can't get over the Frisco "mountains" but likes the hilltop mansion with many bathrooms. She is rescued from a wild taxi ride by a passerby who owns a huge plumbing company. Of course Fernanda thinks he is a common plumber and snubs him.

While somewhat happily married, Walter Moore's eyes do stray from time to time, especially when Tessie McNab is within his eye-sight range. But while trying to just be helpful to a damsel-in-distress, Walter's jealous wife suspects there may be some hanky-panky involved.
