Erlend E. Mo

It's a story about Denmark. The film is built up around a group of stories, with some bigger than other. There's no interaction; it's a pure fly-on-wall documentary about everything that characterizes DK as a country: a young boy goes to war, a couple awaits the birth of their first kid, a family struggles to find meaning living as fugitives in an asylum camp. The mosaic structure gives the film its form and the very thin red line is the country that they all share.

A comfortable family leaves Norway to join a Danish community committed to reducing the contribution of individuals to climate change. Director Erlend Eirik Mo filmed his own family during the transition, showing their difficulties and doubts.
