Her intent is to try and prepare the inmates for a better life once they are released. Ruth runs up against the supervisor (who is controlled by her brother-in-law) who is only interested in skimming money off the budget and his gang of matrons who only want to keep the girls in line doing laundry. Homesteaders Mace Corbin and Clyde Moss pick up much needed dynamite and begin a journey to transport it from an army fort to their homes, hiring a crew of ex-soldiers just released from the army prison. Meeting Murphy, Steve is not convinced he is the man they want. He is right as the Sheriff's brother has a hook he uses to place the blame on Murphy. When the little girl becomes owner of a valuable mine, the brother now plans to get rid of the Sheriff, Murphy, and the girl.

Harley 'Tumbleweeds' Williams is a mellow rodeo competitor who lacks entry fee cash. He enters a casino owned by Al and increases, then loses his money. Club employee Dixie hatches a plan to get both her and Harley a small fortune.

The happy Indians live in Antelope Valley and Eddie is the new Indian Agent. Everything seems fine until the town selectmen want the valley occupied by the Indians because it contains silver. So they hire outlaw Indians and Chico to start trouble hoping that the army will forcibly remove them from the valley and they will claim it. But Father Sullivan and Eddie believe the Indians are being wronged even though they cannot convince anyone else.

Ma Conway, owner of a cattle ranch and publisher of the Laramie Bulletin, wages an up-hill battle to have Wyoming join the Union. She refuses to be intimidated by corrupt politician Lee Landow and crooked banker Jesse Dixon, teamed up to fight her. Led by cowhand Eddie Reed and foreman Uncle Ezra, the Conway cattle drive is blocked at La Platte Pass by the Dixon henchmen, led by Ringo. A fight ensues and Eddie is saved by the quick trigger hand of the Cheyenne Kid, a notorious outlaw.

Eddie MacIntyre is a press agent, talent scout and right-hand man to J.R.Russell, Producer/Director of Perfection Pictures, is planning a scheme in which he will "plant" his girl friend, actress Esther Harrington in the Ozark mountains and then "discover" her for the role of "Ruthybelle" in Perfection's upcoming production, "Thunder Over the Ozarks."

The local gang is framing men for bank robbery, shooting them, and then collecting the reward money offered for a dead bank robber. When the Three Mesquiteers ride into town, Lullaby becomes their next victim. He avoids being shot but is assumed to be a bank robber and to keep him from talking, the gang organizes a lynch mob. Tucson and Stony save him from the rope but they are now wanted men and must find out who is behind this scheme.

Slim and Emmett both try to make romantic overtures to the town widow, but a feud erupts between the two friends when the woman falls for Slim, instead.

Sherry Baker (Rochelle Hudson), owner of a sports service (a bookie)is very successful and is highly respected by gamblers in New York City. Ricky Sloan (Buster Crabbe), owner of the Panthers professional football team, is in love with her. Jimmy Carson (Donald Mayo), a six-year-old boy, comes into Sherry's office to place a bet for his mother, who dies shortly after sending Jimmy to place her bet. Sherry reluctantly takes the kid home with her and, after a short while, decides to adopt him.

Red Ryder battles an unscrupulous fur thief named Hunter for the right to trap beaver and otter on the land of Chief Running Fox. Hunter attempts to ambush Ryder and his pal "Bear Trap" and when this fails, he kidnaps Little Beaver, grandson of the Chief, and kills the Judge, with whom the boy had been staying. But the boy manages to escape. The Duchess, Ryder's aunt, turns up and tries to persuade Ryder to return east with her.

Red Ryder returns to Sioux City, Wyoming, at the close of the Spanish-American War, settling down at the ranch of his aunt, The Duchess, with his pals Little Beaver and "Blizard". But Red soon discovers that the country is over-run by rustlers. Unknown to Red and the citizens, the rustlers are led by the town doctor who tips them off where and when to stage a profitable raid.

Robbers steal some gold and pass it off in Andy's store, but he and his friend think there's been a gold strike. They go off to do some prospecting.

Riding the plains with Little Beaver and Buckskin Blodgett, Red Ryder encounters bandits trying to hold up the stagecoach carrying Libby Brooks, owner of the Devil's Hole newspaper, and her brother Gerry. Red drives off the attackers. Gerry prints an editorial condemning gunmen and Frenchy Beaumont, owner of the hotel and saloon, tells his henchman Blackjack Keno to kill Gerry.

Jim Bannon is back as enduring cowboy hero Red Ryder in Eagle-Lion’s Roll, Thunder, Roll. As ever, Ryder’s cohorts are Little Beaver and the Duchess, here played by “Little Brown Jug” and Marin Sais. This time, Ryder tries to prove that a series of cattle raids and ranch fires were not the handiwork of masked Mexican do-gooder El Conejo.

In the small town of Mooneyville, Andy and his rival, Si, engage in a frantic competition to win the affections of a town widow by surprising her with genuine whitewall tires.

After returning home, sailors Andy and Emmett come to regret their decision of marrying their fiancees as they are saddled with endless chores and when a fire burns down their apartment, they move to the suburbs, where more mayhem ensues.

Royal Canadian Mounted Policeman Sandy Sanderson (Russell Hayden) is given the task of rounding up a gang of fur thieves led by his twin brother Johnny (Russell Hayden). The brother, by masquerading as Sandy in a Mountie uniform, puts suspicion of fur stealing and murder on Sandy. Sandy narrowly escapes a lynching before escaping and bringing his brother and the rest of the gang to justice.

A storekeeper gets involved in cleaning up corruption in her town, and also hopes to attract the attention of the handsome new sheriff.
