When gangster Phil Daley gets rid of his chief Paul Burgess he has everything that money can buy, except the respect of his parents and his sweetheart Susan Warren. His younger brother Danny quits college and forces Phil to make him part of the gang. With the railroad coming to Red Rock, trouble is expected and Billy has been sent ot help his friend Fuzzy who is the town's Sheriff, Judge, and barber. When the man that sent Billy is murdered and the railroad location map stolen, broken match sticks point to Vic Landreau. In a burlesque of the radio program "One Man's Family", Tim (Tim Ryan)pays a visit to his fiancée, Irene Carr ('Irene Ryan'), to meet her family. He is ignored, insulted and relieved of his cash for a raffle in which he is not allowed to participate, and is finally deserted when Irene and all of her family walk out of the house and leave him all alone. This happens after two of her cousins stage a wrestling match, and a food-fight at the dinner table.

Irene Ryan is suing Tim Ryan for divorce. After Tim gives his testimony, and Irene's family are thrown off the witness stand by the judge, Irene gives testimony that keeps changing as the audience sees it in flashback.

Tim Ryan hopes to get a peaceful weekend away from the hub-bub by going camping with Irene Ryan. Unfortunately for him, her destructive, nit-witted relatives insist on coming along.

Harry Gribbon is a masseur. He's sent out on a couple of jobs. After the first one goes poorly, it's on to the next. Before he can get there, he's mistaken for a fall guy in a fake accident racket ring.

Pat wants to marry Nancy, but her mother refuses. Pat gets Herman to pose as Nancy's new suitor, expecting that he will be refused in favor of Pat. But mother tricks them by welcoming Herman into the family, and Pat has to do some quick thinking to get Herman off the hook.
