A man with no memory finds that he has a very strange superpower that makes him see numbers on people's foreheads when he gets an erection. He tries to figure out the mystery of this power that may have to do with sex, except the power keeps giving him new mysteries to solve, including a woman with 0.5 on her forehead that progresses to 0.7, a little girl with 13, a man with 55, and several people with zeroes that shouldn't really be zeroes, including himself. For eons the Autobots and Decepticons have been fighting for control of their planet Cybertron. The mysterious race of Minicons were seen as the key to victory, and after attempting to flee the conflict they crashed on Earth, where they laid dormant for millions of years. After a couple of human teenagers accidentally activated a distress beacon, the transformers have now brought their conflict to Earth, and the race to collect the Minicons and win the eternal war has begun again.

A short-lived cartoon series based on the characters debuted in 1993. In it, Empress Opal of Mythrandir splits the legendary Great Crystal into six pieces to keep it out of Zok's hands. Zok manages to capture one piece, but the other five bond with the future Stone Protectors, spiriting them away to Mythrandir to help Opal upset Zok's schemes and spread a sentiment of peace and freedom with their music.
